Can't get a appointment sorted ? going to try again

Would give 0 stars but unfortunately 1 is the minimum.Having escorted my 16 year old for her appointment to open her first account I can confidently say I will not go back.The appointment was booked 2 weeks prior and we were assured they would call us before hand to cover what would be required for her ID. Obviously 16 year olds don't hold driving licences and we don't have passports.They call didn't come.We arrived for the appointment and were the informed she couldn't open an account unless I provided information of MY income to them. She had taken her NI number letter, college acceptance, full birth certificate and other paperwork but all he wanted was MY information. We left as there was no point in wasting his time further. Since they failed to do their job I requested Complaints information at their help desk, they seemed to think that nipping through behind the desk and discussing me first was professional, it isn't. I have lodged an official complaint and have began the countdown to escalation to the ombudsmun as they have failed in their duties as a banking establishment and are denying my daughter her ability to be gaining interest on the 3 figure cheque she had intended to deposit.

If I could give these no stars then I would. Customer service is disgusting. Yorkshire bank used to be a good bank, since these took over it has gone down hill. I will be closing all of my accounts and going to another bank. I have been with these for over 20 years.

Fantastic customer service from a 'Will' ( and the lovely counter lady!) I am not very good with technology, takes me a little bit to get hang of things, this nice gentleman helped me to now have mobile banking!! I was putting it off a bit, but Im glad I got this sorted with Wills help!! Excellent customer service!! Thank you!!
