A great central location for the city near the theatre, bars and shopping. We stayed over a couple of nights and got an extremely friendly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and stocked for hot drinks with extra supplies in the reception area. I particularly appreciate the security that is afforded by lift access to rooms requiring a room key. Free WiFi was reliable. I would particularly like to mention Ryan who was here when we arrived and later in the restaurant. He was very friendly and attentive, a real asset to your hotel, although the other members of staff we met in the reception and bar were also very pleasant and gave excellent service.Rooms: Clean basic rooms, comfortable bedsSafety: Building feels safeWalkability: Not far to shops, rail station, bars, theatre etcFood & drinks: Meal Deal is great value for money. Breakfast sets us up for the day.

On arrival we were allocated a room where a previous guest had smoked. We requested a move and, after some initial reluctance on the part of the manager, we were given another room which was comfortable, clean, we felt secure in and was a great base. We were subsequently told the original room had also been taken offline for any other guests so our complaint had been taken seriously. Overall a great hotel I would not hesitate to stay in again.Nearby activities: Theatre and shopping right on your doorstep, as well as restaurants and bars, an great locationWalkability: Absolutely. Minutes walking from everywhereFood & drinks: The Botanist......4 minutes walk and absolutely stunning?
