From walking in the door just after opening service was exactly how you would hope - initial greeting was very welcoming paying particular attention to my kids and their Xmas. Starters came quick and were piping hot. All staff, Kona in particular extremely helpful thought life as we knew it was over when we found out ice cream machine was down but he made a very appreciated save and presented the kids with their own individual tubs! Haven't been to a nandos in a long time but would go out of my way to return, the Sunderland one in particular!

For such a busy period couldn't fault the food and the wait times. Lady on the front managing the tables and sitting people was great. My only negative was waiting for to buy a extra drink of my son n guy serving didn't say hello or anything just looked at me

Went with my daughter the other week, a lovely young girl served us and was dead polite, food was great and cause of her customer service I'd definitely return

Expensive, but that's Nando's!
My order came with the wrong seasoning flag. Pretty sure when the waitress went 'to check', the kitchen just swapped the flags. People I ate with stated their food was a bit bland, though I didn't mind mine.
Noisy restaurant, especially when it wasn't very full at all! Staff clearly wanted to be anywhere else. Long wait on food, including starters.
Kid-friendliness: Has colouring in, and lots on walls grand at the attention!

Really disappointed, I have been going to nandos while being gluten free for years! This is the first time I have walked out. The manager (woman, not the nice man I had last time) made me feel unsafe eating there. Said the halloumi and chicken is cooked on the same grill as the garlic bread and is just scrapped down. Didn't make it sound promising or safe for me to eat there. I also did not like the way she came across. When I went last month I had the nicest service I've ever been given in nandos and they were going above and beyond.

We've been to this Nando's (and others) quite a few times. This place is really beginning to look quite tired and could do with a refresh. It's just felt a bit, manky. Also, massive cobwebs in the windows at the front, get those sorted it's horrid.
Anyway enough about the tired decor and on to the main issue I have. The kids menu for whatever reason now only has a single vegetarian option, Mac & Cheese, it's the laziest veggie dish ever created. There used to be a good 3 veggie options on there but now there's just Mac & bloody Cheese, not all kids like Mac & Cheese. Staff were either unable or unwilling to swap out great imitator strips on the little pitta so had to pay £4 for them on top of the unwanted Mac & Cheese.
Aside from that I just think it's got a bit expensive for what effectively is chicken and chips (or your preferred side).
Vegetarian options: Fairly small veggie offering and only Mac & Cheese for kids.
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is an absolute shambles, 3 options only one of which is vegetarian (Mac & Cheese).
