I am very disappointed as I used to like eating from here. When visiting recently, there was lack of stock on offer with wanting to order a large fish and the staff only willing to offer fish bites and a regular fish for the price of a large fish is very disappointing with ending up ordering a regular sized fish instead and members of the public at the time while waiting for my order coming back asking for refunds of being over charged on there food made me feel very uncomfortable. I have to be honest with this change of management it has put me off visiting in the near future. As for the food I received hardly any fish inside it was mostly batter. The batter was soggy, very oily as for the chips they just tasted dry. Also they say the minimum spend on card is £20 ruined the experience with ending up paying in cash.

I've had much better. The food is OK but no great shakes. The fish is usually nice but the fish cakes are awful. The biggest rip off was being charged 80p for a bag of batter. Seriously? It's waste! Nah I'll not be back.

Visited for my lunch today, the first time I've been and ordered the lunchtime special. I got a decent portion of chips to go with my jumbo battered sausage, as well as a very watery pot of garlic sauce. The food was average but nothing special, however it was a decently sized portion.

Used this fish for years when it was original "Merrills" when Brian ran it QUALITY now belongs to Gills absolute rubbish try it now and again to see if quality has improved but gets worse only live round corner cold as usual, do what I do take them back and demand fresh. If they have fish ready always ask for fresh they don't like it but you are paying top £s.

We ordered 30 x 12" pizzas, 10 x bags of chips, onion rings and garlic cheesebreads for the evening after a wedding. 8pm delivery was spot on. All the food was hot - the pizzas delicious and extra food also thrown in. All the guests 100% satisfied. Would definitely recommend.

Charged £6 for a small kabbab meat and small pot of chilli sauce. My lord, it came in a small tin tray, half empty and cold. Will never order from there again, and advise others to never order from there to.

Chips were yesterday's reheats and LOTS of black bits in them . No quality control evident. On the plus side, even the seagulls won't try and nick any.
