Good place for a party or function

We were looking for a good quiz night and came across this pub! Every Sunday and Wednesdays they host a pub quiz night. We went on the Sunday and had a lovely time! The atmosphere was good, the bar staff were brilliant and the quiz was very fun! We even got a free pizza!! Didn?t win the quiz tho. Oh well. Lovely little seating area for groups too. Highly recommend this pub for quizzes and drinks!

Unreal pub! Such unique old beautiful decor and great atmosphere - an amazing underrated place to watch football too. Lots of super comfy chesterfield sofas, good hearted people and also the free food during the quiz is above and beyond in quality, slow cooker curries and cheesy snacks galore!! Bar staff are lovely and remember your order too. They serve good well priced drinks and if you?re after cocktails theres a lovely cocktail bar right downstairs too. Hugely underrated place in shields I?ll be making my local!

Thought I?d give this pub a go as I have company coming from Canada. Not serving food, well that?s ok. Good selection on tap. Decor was on point was lots of old features.It?s a shame the establishment?s mentality was also antiquated.What are you thinking! A sign degrading women?! We?re way past that?aren?t we? And I quote ?Liquor in the front, poke her in the rear?. Right next to the Ladies bathroom. Imagine. How many women join in your pub quiz night? First visit. Last visit
