What a bank, Absolute waste of space and no customer service or accountability in existence. Shambles and just department on department that continually pass the buck, cover up for their incompetence and fraud that exists within the bank. This bank has closed my account without reason and has made excuse after excuse not to provide me with my own details (SAR) for 2 years, including telling me they have posted them to my address when they did not, calling me a liar and asking me to call customer services which cost me £120 for 20 minutes, they say they sent it electronically via email but when taken to a independent IT consultant it can not open and the file contents are so small the file contained nothing. They took my home off me when I was paying the mortgage monthly and in full again without telling me or a reason, then contradicting themselves continually that there is no problem and to continue to pay your mortgage. They are sending me letters with 3 different surnames for some reason and putting me in contact with members of staff that are not actually what they say they are and that don't have the correct job title for what Iam asking for. I then go to the local branch to have my personal data supplied to me after 2 years of waiting when by law it is supposed to take 28 days and the person verbally stating that they are the bank manager who is wearing only a plain badge that only his first name with no sur name or Santander official logo or even bank manager printed on the badge refuses to provide me with his id when my lawyer has told me or provide me with any credentials who or what he is just because he is wearing a suit and standing in a bank. After over 2 years of being messed about and lied too. Even the police have to show their id but Santander bank managers are seemingly like the KJB or James Bond. Unhelpful and the worst bank on the high-street. Could not make this up. I would advise anyone to avoid this bank and would not want anyone to go through what I went through. This bank has serious problems.

Went in and it seemed condescending they ask for to much to set up an account I won't be making an account with them.
