I don?t usually shop at this Sainsbury?s Local, but since I was out for a walk I decided to pop in and pick up a few things for lunch and dinner. When I got home and started unpacking, I noticed that the chicken breasts I?d just bought were already out of date ? the use-by was yesterday (27th August), even though I purchased them today (28th).
It?s frustrating, especially as this store doesn?t have a huge chilled section, so keeping an eye on date rotation really shouldn?t be that difficult. Since it?s a bit of a trek for me, I won?t be going back to exchange them, but it has definitely put me off. Disappointing.

I would just like to say what wonderful staff the Stanhope Road store has.
After speaking to a manager regarding my mixup with my uber eats delivery a wonderful young man came out on his way from work to re delivery my order.

I wanted to leave a review because the staff that work here are so lovely every time I come in. Happy to answer any questions or requests (even when you ask if you can roam through their empty boxes for boots you need to ship off haha). Also, the closing time is so convenient on a Sunday and you need something in a pinch. Convenience and good staff make you want to keep coming back.

I love this store. With it being a local the prices are higher than other stores, but its worth it for the convenience as I live so close. Love the opening times. Most of all though the staff are incredible. I come in everyday or every other day and all of the workers say hello and ask how im doing. Shout out to Brendan and Niall. They're such top lads, always friendly and approachable.

Decent shop pricey though very expensive for certain things. As a regular customer seems a bit unfair how the security staff have been let go leaving basically kids to confront shop lifters . This in turn alienates other customers especially young adults school kids whom feel they are being viewed as suspicious by the untrained staff having a responsibility forced on them

Could be better - the shop is quite small so obviously when stock is being put out it can get very crowded. Outside is always a mess with litter everywhere and the bin overflowing. Staff have those awful headsets on which can make it awkward at the till because it's not obvious if they are talking to you or a colleague. Not to mention it's pretty rude, really. No self-serve tills either.
