First time visiting south Shields and the little haven hotel ,happy reception staff very helpful always said hello good morning good night ,rooms were quite big clean comfy bed ,staff in the canteen wonderful food gorgeous but a lot of it ( need to diet again ?) overhaul experience great ,I was there on a sewing retreat first one there my experience was a good one

One of the best run hotels in the region, with some unique rooms with outstanding views and plenty of great dining options.Rooms: The normal rooms provide either open sea or riverside views and the three suites provide a spectacular opportunity in a unique location to anyone who has a special occasion like a wedding or anniversary celebration. You will always remember the loud ?Wow? moment.Nearby activities: Choice of local beaches and parks on the hotel doorstep. Plenty to enjoy as a family or a couple. Lovely seaside resort.Safety: Well lit and cctv in operation.Walkability: Plenty of flat walking around the promenade to the local beaches and parks with safe child friendly spaces. The local swimming baths is located less than a ten minute walk from the hotel.Food & drinks: Excellent food and drink options at very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend a visit to the hotel restaurant.Noteworthy details: Walks local parks and beaches are on the doorstep and the town centre is a flat 15 minute walk away.

A most lovely site with views of the mouth of the River Tyne.The room had a marvellous vista, but was very cold when we first arrived although the central heating did work.The telephone in the room was unplugged.The Room Service was good and the breakfast was first class.We have been to the Little Haven Hotel many times and no doubt will return.

Rooms: Lovely rooms.Nearby activities: It's close enough to everything, and is virtually on the beach.Walkability: Its close to all amenities.Food & drinks: The breakfast service was slow and the food wasn't warm enough. It has been better in the past.
