Arrived at the fresh pizza section one girl ?cleaner? who advised ?they are on their break?at 5:45 tea time i said?? I searched the store that?s supposed to be a super store and found one supervisor that was on the self serve tills. Explained the situation and his reply was ?due to staff shortages there is one person on that counter and they are entitled to their break?. Really at this time?that?s not the customers fault as bad management for not having staff to cover. I counted 8 customers including myself feeling frustrated with this situation. All concerned being angry with one saying they were going elsewhere. On the wine section very little choice as shelves on a skeleton lookie likie competition. Searching down each isle looking for a staff member was a waste of time as they all must of been on a break. Arriving onto the tills one yes one open till in operation that?s supposed to be a super store at 6pm on a Friday evening witnessing the GSM ?General store Manager? having to put his shopping through the self serve tills as he clearly had enough and wanted out. Get a grip please.

The customer service team need some training in customer service. When I went to return a parcel and explained I would need 2 labels as it came in to bags the response I got was a shrug of the shoulders, ?never had that before?. Brenda certainly was not ?Happy to help?

Warning to anyone using the pay at pump!
I always used this service and they pre-approve a £99 charge and refund the difference immediately after getting my fuel.
This time they approved £71 as that was what was left in my account at the time. After accidentally picking up a diesel pump and returning it, the transaction ended but the pre-approved charge was not refunded and ultimately cleared my bank account, even though I took no fuel. So I couldn?t tap my card to start again and couldn?t use my card on anything else as it was being declined! So I was ultimately stranded with no money or fuel. Tried to get help from Asda?s customer service but they just said it may refund next day.
It?s been 4 days now and the payment is still pending! this means I can?t use my card or access the money they have put on hold. This has been highly frustrating and stressful and the banks can?t do anything and although Asda are the merchants for the machines they cant help either! Left my details to speak to the manager who had gone home but as yet still no call!
After reading about similar experiences it has taken customers anything from 14days or over to get their money back. No good to me a few weeks before Christmas!
I will avoid these pumps in future.
I?m Hoping this info will help someone avoid being caught out like this. Not worth the risk unless you can afford up to £99 disappearing for a few weeks or longer

They kick me out only bc im 13 and I'm with my friend.Its every single time,I did do some thing in the past but that was 3 years ago.Come on,it's the red hair lady,she's always nagging me to get out even tho it was 3 years ago,it wasn't even a ban I just get kicked out,every single time.This is actually crazy,just let me in and I really liked asda until this,when I was young,it was my favourite store bc it had the best thing and I needed them,and yet I still need things from here,I was just kicked out now with no explanation like every other time and that's just pissed me off,she's the boss?Nah.Gwt her out of here bro,I've told everyone like my friends and parents,just let me buy my things and then I'll leave ,she's the one causing the ruckus now.Please just let us young people in(13 14 15).I hate this discrimination.Asda,tell her to stop or fire her.

Had some delicious chips from here with malt vinegar and my partnerhad chips with brown sauce and kids had fish finger and chicken nuggets deal the staff are super friendly and their customer service towards us and the kids was outstanding behaviour and well mannered my kids wanted mcdonalds but I liked the asda deal as it's more value and the lady gave good advice out and kids now listened to it and had their dinner their so thanks so much for your advice and help I hope yous all putting your feet up rest of tonight as was to hot in their look after yourself and thank you for our food asda cafe team

Gutted that I sat in my car in Asda car park while my wife went shopping in Asda. Gutted that I even went back to buy milk because my wife said she had forgot to get it. Gutted that I forgot to pay for parking and got a £40 fine. Them bargain bottles of Moretti beers did not go down well at all. Heard that asda shields don't charge for parking anymore but for many people it's a bit late for that they probably like me shop at Morrisons.

I'm a loyal customer to Asda. I have been for many years now. Been in today at 17:00 hours to get some shopping. Filled my bag pack up after paying for my food and still had some left to put in a shopping bag. Asked the young lady if I could get a shopping bag. She asked if I was paying for the bag separate and I said yes. She then put the bag through and said you?ll have to pay for the other stuff that I already payed for. I tried showing her the receipt but she wasn?t bothered about looking at it. She then decided to get security to stop me and ask if I had payed for everything. I felt embarrassed and discriminated by that since I?m always at Asda buying food. It?s a shame that one person who doesn?t like life in Asda spoils the service and experience for customers. Good reviews go far but bad reviews go further. She needs an office job ???

Tried to use their click and collect service on Friday evening (31.05.24). After we made a complaint in the store our shopping eventually arrived after 45 minutes of waiting around. I explained to a few staff members that this was not acceptable, especially when I had a 5 month old in the car who was getting restless. I logged a complaint and was told I would hear from a manager within the next few days. I still have not heard anything from anyone. Truly awful customer service all round. Avoid if you can!

Because of your disgraceful parking fine, at your South Shields branch, you have just lost out on £135 per week shopping and £30 per week fuel. never again Asda. Morrisons here I come.

Did not know that you needed to pay, but I will not go back here. Never paid to park in a supermarket before. I mean Asda of all at Boldon, Grangetown, Peterlee and Hartlepool are all free.
This was a one off visiting to Shields for me to sort out a issue.
Paid for my shopping at Asda, Shields and was in there 35 minutes.
PrivateEye posted me a £70 fine but reduced to £40. ?
