This is a popular locals' bar/pub/cafe/place that serves a limited range of drinks, but includes some interesting ones. I couldn't quite grasp the concept, but it was an easy place to catch up for a drink and a chat.

As a Variation on our normal choice of pubs Alic asked his friend Nimrod for a real ale destination near the Metro. Booth talked to his composer mate Elgar and thus we came to this CAMRA 2025 Good Beer Guide pub. I found a new brewery for me to tick off. Twice brewed from Hexham. Relaxing little micro bar. Just needs a certain classical composer's most famous work on loop. Limited hours but unusually for a micro, opens 7 days a week. 4 real ales. Good find.

Been here a few times now since moving down from Whitley, an amazing place. Had one small issue regarding the kegs being labelled wrong but I believe that was an issue from the brewery and not the staff. Beers are kept really well, the outdoor seating is charming, and the prices are bang on for what you get.

Great microbar . One of the best I?ve visited. The cask ales were spot on. Great atmosphere and friendly. My wife loved it too and she?s not a beer drinker or pub goer. Could have sat there all day but will definitely back. Thanks guys

Plenty of beer options, enigma variations. Named after the breaking of the Enigma code from WW2 and the local contribution of Thomas Brown, rescuer of codebooks from a sinking U boat. A straight forward ale house for the practise of sipping nature's elixir, the beer and the exchange of spoken word in comfortable surroundings.

Lovely place with a great selection of beers. Bright and spacious, it has a very welcoming atmosphere. Great for Craft Beer and whatever else you drink.
Not a traditional local, but rather a nice modern version. Prices are what you normally pay for Craft. Good for group, as well as others.
Happy to go back.
