I recently went in for a gents cut and wash after getting a perm around 2 months ago at the same place. I have coloured hair and les(director) knew exactly how to take care of it, I got a taper type cut and a trim and he was amazing at keeping the curls looking good after cutting. It is a lovely place with nice staff. They use good quality products and will know how to attend to your certain hair needs.

Couldn?t have gone better, I had les and got a perm. It looks amazing and is exactly what I asked for. Definitely knows what he is doing and I will 100% be here for my next perm and cut.

Odd experience - the guy pompously told me a long story - absolute drivel - about some hair show he did, which concluded in him telling me he was going to rip me off for the haircut! ?This was a little while ago tbf, but I still chuckle every time I walk past the place and think of my 80 quid trim!

The team at Y Salon are lovely, their services and products are amazing! They take time and are incredibly mindful of which products they use, stocking Kevin Murphy which smells amazing, bottles are recycled from sea waste I think? And all cruelty free. Having a treatment here, you feel at ease and like you?re truly being pampered with no intimidating salon vibes!

I'm never coming back to your salon, you first said £55 for cut and blowdry, the cut took five minutes, blowdry took one hour, you charged me £80, it only took one hour when it said it took one hour and a half, my hair isn't even remotely like how i wanted. the hair cut wasn't cut tidy or carefully at all. your service is bad, you only charged me extra for your holiday not for your work, im not happy at all, ill never return.Horrible

Went in for a cut and blow dry, and it was supposed to be a pick me up as I wasn?t feeling great. Left the place feeling worse tbh, the stylist was tugging at my hair so hard it hurt from wash to blow dry, they didn?t ask me what style I wanted or where I wanted my hair parted, blow dry was random strands curled?? Would never go back. A hair appointment is supposed to be enjoyable and relaxing not a painful experience.Services: Blowouts

I had a cut and finish appointment with Jon. He was pleasant enough however, I can?t recommend him for the service. The appointment barely took 45 mins and I have long hair. The time isn?t the issue, it?s the quality of what he did.1. My hair was only shampooed once, it didn?t feel like it lathered at all and I?m not even sure he put conditioner on.2. There was no massage at all with the hair wash and I was only in the seat for 2-3 mins.3. I asked for just the edges to be cut off from the length which he did but the way he cut in to my hair it?s all uneven at the bottom.4. The fringe layer he cut in, is larger on one side than the other, it is such an abrupt cut that there is no way to style it without the cut being so obviously bad.5. No hair oil was used before the drying process so my hair this morning is a combination of greasy, unclean and brittle at the ends.6. Also small things like asking if I wanted a tea or if I was ok with the end service would have been common curtesy.Maybe the good reviews from are regular customer and because of that I felt ok going in but I was wrong so I would not recommend as the quality of the service mentioned by other reviewers isn?t the same if you don?t already have a relationship with the salon. A very disappointing experience for £45 but more sad that no care was taken over me as a customer.
