Lovely receptionist who could not be more helpful supplying a missing bedside lamp and clean towel. Key card a little temperamental but accommodation fine.

Our stay was good , room was nice and clean the only thing we had a problem with was the temperature in the room it was very cold ,we did try ti turn the heating up but it just kept going back down, we did ask at reception and a young lad did come to the room but l don't think he knew how to sort it as he told us to just keep pushing the button on the thermostat.

Simple, clean, and warm rooms within walking distance of Gateshead Metro Centre. 3 places to eat just outside the door. About 1 mile walk to the Metro Centre. Although by a railway and close to road I did not get disturbed during the night and only £30 per night.

A bit dated décor, and the cleanliness is not as good as it should be. The Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Stayed here as it was close to where my daughter lives, who we were visiting. The hotel was clean and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was fine but the heating was stuck at 20 and although the instruction sheet said you could change it, actually it always went back to its default after a few minutes. The receptionist said the system was centrally controlled so the only things we could do were to open a window or have it turned off. This seems ridiculous and a waste of energy if the window is open. I hope the hotel powers that be might read this and both change the instruction sheet (so as to remove the element of frustration) and more importantly fix the system. Otherwise very happy with the hotel and reasonable prices.

Impossible to find, an Engineers term might be a 'Left hand thread'Food & drinks: In house was Ersatz. The local food deliverers could not find, even intrepid ones... most restaurants would not even send out to the location.

Easy to get to, easy reach of newcastle airport. Very good, clean rooms. All you could ask for. No breakfast but toby carvery is close by.

It?s what you expect from a Travelodge. Nothing fancy. My room was clean, staff were friendly, there?s a great dinner place next door, car park is a good size and wasn?t full by the time I got there (at 6pm) like it normally is. The lack of a restaurant and a bar is a shame, but it saves costs and there?s nearby places. It might help my lack of self-discipline at the English breakfast buffet! The room has minimal facilities, but all described accurately. The train line along the car park, not very far away at all, makes some noise, but like most train services in UK, there?s not many trains anyway.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and always find the staff extremely friendly and helpful. It gives very good value for money, with clean rooms, comfortable beds and a copious amount of tea and coffee. It also offers wi-fi for a very reasonable daily rate. Very close by there are 3 places where you can eat in or get a takeaway - we particularly like Sambuca, a lovely Italian restaurant.

Read the small print breakfast is a box of cornflakes and some warm milk . Also reception must have been having some difficulties as nobody there just emergency number to call .when they did arrive they were lovely but had to wait 20 mins for that .

Be prepared to pay £15 each way in a taxi to get to and from the town centre/train station/bus station. Rooms are stuffy and too noisy to have windows open. No hot water for a shower in the morning. Not worth the £84 for one nights bad sleep and a cold shower.

Room was good value for money little tired in places not any major issues that affected our stay but good value for money well located for purpose of our trip staff where nice and friendly polite and helpful
