Dreadful, dreadful experience. I?ll never return and will advise everyone I know the same. One of poorest customer experiences I?ve ever had. What a waste of my time.

We were sat down for over half an hour before our server came up to us to ask us if we had ordered drinks yet. Fair enough if it was busy but it wasn?t and our server with the brown curly hair was stood there chatting to the young blonde girl right in front of us, not even paying attention to their customers.No mention of food, took her another 25 minuets to ask us if we were here for the carvery, which weren?t we wanted other menu items. By this point we had been here for an hour , only just had been given our drinks and only just had our food order taken. Horrible service and not the first time this has happened. The young staff that work their look like they hated their life?s.

Honestly, just a really good value for money carvery. The members of staff are all very lovely, we were served by Katie and had a great meal.

Food was great ,plenty of choice at the carvery,was very busy couldn't really hear conversation and manager/supervisor need to be more pleasant to customers and nicer to junior staff

What a difference a day makes!
The last time I was in Toby Shiremoor, it was a pleasant experience friendly staff, hot fresh food, today Saturday 15th of March 2025, the complete opposite i was only able to add 4 item's to my plate Turkey, sage and onion stuffing, carrots and green beans as everything else wasn't available wouldn't mind but it was at lunchtime aswell, really disappointing. I had to put extra carrots and green beans on my plate because there wasn't anything else. (Available)!!!

If you have an eating disorder or similar medical condition.. do not visit. The staff member, Beth, is extremely rude and unhelpful. After already discussing my health conditions with head office and being advised on how to approach the subject, I've had no problems at other branches. They are more interested in making an extra £4, than catering for customers needs.

Couldn?t get a table. Was a Sunday and we hadn?t booked. Looked nice inside though and very busy.

Food horrible, server couldn?t do her job, messed up party of 9, kids chicken nuggets came as 4 chicken nuggets in a bowl, all drinks messed up, when asked for two kids fruit shoots they brought two pints of black current squash for two kids under 2

Consistent, fresh not frozen food, you know what you are going to get and unlike many other carverys they don't cut the meat so fine it's see through.
On a personal note, I'd rather they didn't throw green garnish over everything but apart from that I'm happy to recommend it.
Book in advance on a Sunday unless you are going after 4pm.

Didn't get a seat until just after 1pm
Obviously over booked so pointless even having the option to book a table
Otherwise the staff were great and food was average

Badly organised, booked a table and was still expected to wait when we arrived. Mother disabled and seated waiting area was packed. Found a chair but my mother was distressed with all the people waiting. She could not have stood in the huge queues for the food. We had to leave. Won't go again.
