Booked for Sunday dinner. Place was rammed full as it has a great reputation for good food. Our dinners were excellent, ordered trio of meats, loads of food cooked to perfection. Then had Eaton mess for dessert very nice. Will definitely be back but best to book a table in advance.

Best Sunday roast I?ve had in the north east. The staff couldn?t do enough for us! Beautiful indoor and outdoor area. We chose to sit outside and eat our lunch in the sun. Great experience overall.

Went for Sunday lunch with my wife. The positives are, very nice environment, staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive. The roast beef was beautifully cooked and very tender. Vegetables were also well cooked and very nice as were the roast potatoes.The negatives are, separate vegetables provided for 2 people were insufficient, tiny portions. Mashed potato had far too much butter in it, sickly and inedible. Gravy was watery and tasteless. Gravy also was put on plate and not enough, would always prefer a separate jug.Personal opinions of course but there you are.

Food was excellent but found some of staff may need training. They were friendly but there was a lot of carrying on. Did wait for food even though it was quiet and plenty of staff on duty. My husband was served his desert while I had to wait for mine which is a tad unprofessional. May try again in future to see if things have changed.

We just held our daughter?s 14th birthday meal here for 11 of us. Every single one of us were thrilled with the food and service. Immaculate establishment. Spacious and airy and bright and warm! We all had starters and mains and desserts with not a single error. Our server was so lovely and friendly and bubbly too. We were made very welcome, thanks again! We will definitely be back for meals!
