Visited this evening. A birthday meal.I am not a meat eater so ordered the hand battered fish. It arrived drenched in grease. I tried it only to identify it as being Panga, a cheap fish with no flavour. I asked the waitress what it was and she confirmed as Panga. There was no way I could eat due to the amount of grease / oil held in the batter. I did inform the waitress that it was inedible. She removed my plate. No apology, no explanation. I will not be repeating my visit.

Had my daughters 30th birthday party there upstairs room was fab lovely decorated ideal size for about 75 people, used there catering food was spot on and plenty to go around. Thank you to the bar man who never stopped all night and was still smiling at 11.30pm x.

I did not go for the food and did not have any while I was there, so cannot comment. I was there following the fabulous Giroscope who once again delivered a fabulous performance. Very friendly atmosphere and great service from the staff made this a thoughley enjoyable night, I would recommend to anyone.

Food was luke warm when it came. Very disappointing. Ordered kids meal for my son and paid the £2 extra for the ice cream for him and was told after he finished his main that it would be over an hour for the ice cream and nothing offered instead as a compensation. Very poor service.

Nice pub, conienient. Much parking. Nice spacious insides with l8ads of outide seating. If you like trains this is just off a live barrier crossing point (i guess the name gives a small clue!). Nice armosphere, staff efficient and friendly. Price not so sure was on pop!
