The manager of this shop, Shauna, has turned everything around in a matter of weeks. All the previous poor reviews are now irrelevant.
However, Dan, Amelia, Emma, Millie, Simon, Amy and even Joanne have helped turn this branch into Tesco's flagship store.Not to forget Abdullah the security guard, what a lad.

Staff here are weird. Have a similar review to the guy that was stared at. Went to buy an ice lolly on a hot day. Freezer broke which was useful. Looked round for something else to buy. Got some chocolate and paid at the self serve checkout. Ate chocolate in car. Observed all the staff staring out of the window at me, and security guard stood at door. Utterly weird. If I?d done something wrong why not speak to me! Won?t return

Great place to come at dinner time 12pm - 1pm NOT I hate this shop so much want to start of by saying SO WHAT if my accent is different there is NO REASON to stare at someone and give them very dirty looks at there family and me because there accent is different but oh well your Geordies remember staring is a hobby and daily ritual for you Geordie lot GET A LIFE AND GROW UP ITS NOT THE 1950s anymore anyone can live where they want it?s free country and everyone should be entitled to walk into a shop do there food shop without being stared at by the staff and horrible office workers down the road and any Geordie reading this please make a note for yourselves yeah STOP STARING AT PEOPLE it is the rudest thing on earth and one more thing you see them self serving machines use them it?s the future instead of standing in the line looking like a plum errr how do I use these machines and then have the nerve to STARE AT MY FAMILY when I?m using them and maybe if you wasn?t stuck in the past you?d might know how to use the self service machines ( I?m a southerner yes so what living in Newcastle grow up STOP STARING at someone because there accent is different )

Went into the Tesco Esso Express store on Benton Road, Newcastle upon tyne today and tried to use their Evri parcel Shop service.The lady asked (could have been a boss) a staff member to check the parcel as she thought that it was larger than 120cm, which is their limit. The other member of staff agreed with her and refused the parcel which meant that I had to carry the parcel back home. On getting home I measured it myself and found the parcel to be 114cm. Rather annoyed that they hadn't even taken the time to confirm the measurements as it was too much for them to do.Just before I took the parcel back to the garage I rang the parcel shop/garage to warn them that I was bringing the parcel back, the phone just rang and rang until someone picked up the phone and put it straight down again which gave me the engaged signal. I got up to the shop and the first thing that I did was to complain about the phone call to your member of staff as I believe the way that they acted was the height of arrogance to offer a service like that. I told them that I knew they got busy at times, but it is the height of arrogance to behave like that with customers. One of your customers who was standing in a queue next to me who had heard me complain even said that he agreed with me it was not a way to treat customers.So anyway, I did get the parcel sent and that was the end of it, no sorry and no apology.Very annoyed.

Plenty of choice, but ever since installing the self serve machines, the queue for paying for fuel takes forever as they only put 1 member of staff on them.

Hi YouTubers and welcome to my review of Tesco?s own everyday chicken curry. I looked like a dirty diaper. Those things where they look perfect on the box and they have awful quality when you look at it. It tasted like vomit.
