Tesco Express at Trinity Gardens is in a good location, it's off a side street from Quayside and a short walk away from many of the city's hotels - including the Hilton, Inside by Melia and The Vermont, this makes it a good location for tourists to head to grab some essentials to take back to their room, while also being close enough to the city, locals and commuters can also find it handy. It is a little hidden on a side street, although I had no problem finding the store with Apple Maps on my phone. It's pretty much your typical Tesco Express - the layout felt familiar even though I have never visited this store before, I instantly knew where everything was. I could find the small number of items I came in for. There is also a Costa Express coffee machine at the front of the store. The staff seemed friendly enough, and the store was clear of clutter making it easy to get around. Prices are a little inflated - but again it's what you pay for in a "convenience" store. 4*

Small place, gotta a few people outside the Tesco ATM and store front asking for Christmas change. Decent variety in items and necessities for all the hotels & Air B&Bs around.Be prepared for a slow check out as they are understaffed. You feel cramped in there and have to play Red Light Green Light to get down isles. Reminds me of a New York Deli?s. Don?t go alone, focus on what you gotta get and go.Hood luck ?!

Like every other Tesco Express. Unfortunately the man that served me had seriously lacking customer service and clearly didn't want to be there. Unfortunate but I got what I was after.

Some great staff bad security guards some staff know the difference between those with and those without all over people with money how at least five have their jobs I'll never know feels like ur in a pub and could be banned at any time

BAD - Beggar out the front, who sits and plays with his iPhone (wish I could afford one) won't let you go into store without demanding cash from you. He's there everyday. Once safely in store you are now faced with anxiety triggering isles that are not wide enough for one person. If you make it to the tills you then spend a good 10 minutes trying to scan your shopping at the self service machines that don't work. Avoid if you can, if not the good luck and may the Lord watch over you!

Would put zero stars if I could. Rude staff who look directly at you and can see you need help but don't even acknowledge you. When asking for said help expect to receive eye rolls, rude attitude and smirks. Unbelievable!

It's a Tesco Express.....a corner shop if you will... and it caters and prices accordingly. I've rarely seen a better sandwich selection and it clearly trades for the businesses around it and the local hotels. Perfectly adequate, excellent staff, just avoid it at peak sandwich buying time?
