Went to a film have been there before. Cheap, volunteer run. Good range of quirky films you won't see much elsewhere. Only other arthouse cinema in Newcastle is the Tynaside Cinema. Also well worth a look.

Great place, volunteer-run cinema (approx 100 seats) with a music venue, cafe, and a (radical) free library. They show plenty of good films, many too obscure for even 'art house' cinemas, but also classic horror and comedy movies. There is often an art market there on Sundays.

Great place - a place to see interesting films you wouldn't see anywhere else, interesting bands, and enjoy a quality local beer or two while you're doing it. Somewhere we desperately need to support, unless we lose a valuable cultural landmark
