Absolutely awful service at Argos for eBay parcel collection. Have visited the store on 4 separate occasions to collect a parcel and will have to return a 5th time tomorrow.First time I was given a parcel that didn't match the code I gave them. It was addressed to me as was expecting two parcels, but this one had come earlier than expected and the other appears to have been later. It felt wrong but I trusted them and walked away with it. Then I got home, thought about it and realised that the value of the two items was wildly different so went back to the store to check. "Oh yeah they're often messed up with labels, we just phone them (ebay) for a code and sometimes it's wrong, your other package will probably turn up and we'll put the other code on it" employee #1. Stunned I left.I got an email a few days later saying other package there. I went to collect, unknown to me it had been sent in to different packages. I gave the code and received package, the package felt a bit light but I had some shopping to do so didn't want to open in the shop. I opened at home and checked, half missing, checked the box and it was clearly marked 1 of 2. Ok, return back to shop to try and get other half... Closed. When I'd left before I'd checked for signage. None inside shop, outside in car park it was clearly marked as open until 8pm. Returned at 7:35 to find it closed. Spoke to security guard he had no clue about opening times, we looked for signage together couldn't find any. Again looked in car park, 8pm only time mentioned. So tomorrow morning I will return, taking time out of Mothering Sunday to pick up a package for the 5th time having been told I could pick it up on Wednesday via email.I know that Sainsbury's will shrug and say "ah it's Argos" (they own them) and Argos will shrug and say "ah eBay and their codes". All in all, avoid this service like the plague. If buying from eBay try to get delivered to a post office or a local corner shop.

Little shop to grab some bits and pieces on way home or grab something for work bit pricey but overall it's an ok shop. Don't have great selections but if it's last minute it will do lol?

Unfortunately hardly ever a person on the tills now as to many self service tills.much prefer to be served by a person .

They are more than any other supermarket and they have a poor selection of everything .I don't like the fact that the majority of the Self Scan machines are CARD ONLY .Then if you have to pay with cash and the machines are occupied by other customers , you have to wait at Customer Service and wait for the worker who should be there behind the counter .I stopped inside for a bottle of 7Up and to my surprise , they were charging £2.00 for it and if I didn't need it , I would have left it there and then tell someone that they could put it back themselves .

Rating is *entirely* based on the very helpful Sainsbury's staff member, who today suggested I screenshot the Nectar 'Card' Barcode in the Nectar app, because the app repeatedly logs out in the poor 4G / local Wifi in the store, and I'm then there for hours (well, it seems like) in the check-out queue, waiting to log back in, 'please go through, my app is stuck', etc, to display the 'card' to claim my 'Nectar prices'.Don't know why I didn't think of that life-hack for myself.Thank you, Sainsbury's for that.Otherwise it's a 4.3 - very convenient to walk to for daily items & veg/greens, but quite expensive compared to our nearby Lidl in S Gosforth, where I prefer to do my larger shops.

Last shop ever in Sainsburys. You are penalised in this shop simply for not using the 'smartshop app' Every item I have just bought in this shop was more expensive than in Asda up the road. Eg. Chocolates £7 in Sainsburys £6 if you use the smartshop or shop in Asda where everyone pays the same price £6. Same with every other item I bought. Smartshop is really Mugshop.
