A fairly well located little Sainsburys shop which has pretty much everything that you need for a small journey. Well stocked with hot and cold food choices as there is an oven section with pastries and croissants. There are automated tills and staffed tills.

The staff here were all very helpful, and the store was stocked with good and fresh products, as a result I found what I needed and had a very pleasant experience.

I'm starting to feel like I need to ask for directions everytime I'm in. I get you probably get a lot of shop lifters. But the shop looks different everytime I pop in. And I wish you would continue to sell pet food.

Nonsensical layout, I've seen healthier looking roadkill than the 'fresh' meat on offer, peppers on the shelves already going squishy, staff more interested in chatting or playing on their phones than helping, and to top it all off eye-watering prices - even compared to the station M&S next door.

Has all the essentials you would need for a quick pop in basket shop however the shop is very small and cramped. It?s also tired and in need of an update. Outside the branch is dirty particularly at the entrance (there was pee which you had to step over just to get in the door-not great)

Always used to get hot pastys or sausage rolls from here but now it costs even more then Greggs across the road. So stopped going.

Very tiny shop but somehow they managed to fit all essentials in there. Great job! Service is very fast and the shop is always fully supplied. Great to buy a quick snack before getting on the train. Opening hours are great.

It?s a nice Sainsbury?s. It is on the smaller side, but that?s what you?d expect with it being attached to a train station. It has a decent selection of food, drinks and snacks which is hand for some last minute purchases before your train trip. I?ve always found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

Terrible experience in store this evening on my way home from work. Went in to buy a steak for dinner, but couldn't help notice that the security guard who was initially stood standing in the corner near to where the steaks and other meat were was observing me. I felt as though I was a criminal intending to steal, and I felt very uncomfortable and watched. I then tried something, to see if he would follow me around the corner, so I walked around the corner and pretended to look at something else. Sure enough, he walked around the corner and stood and watched me again. I then walked back around and looked at the steaks, and he followed me. At this point I confronted him about his behaviour. He was defensive and just saying he was doing his job. I disagree and feel as though training should be provided to security staff to train them with how to use discretion when managing a store full of people, in order to not make customers feel uncomfortable. Needless to say, I walked out of the store without buying anything, and went and bought a steak from elsewhere. Sainsbury's lost my business on this occasion, due to the badly trained security guard who was "just doing his job". I'll likely never go in there again, and would urge Sainsbury's to retrain their staff. The gentleman was black and has facial hair, just as a point of reference. At the end of the day, people vote with their wallets, and on this occasion this security guard has cost them a sale, and also a repeat customer.

Very bad experience, the staff was very rude, he kept forcing me to show him my id which MAKE NO SENSE for just using a credit card that require a signature( I never encountered this ever with using this card for over 10 years in stores and restaurants ). When I showed him the id and the transaction went through he out of no where ask me to rescan my card for sth of value only 6 pounds. I was in a rush and I had to leave the food and left and call my card to cancel the went through transaction. This is just the single most ridiculous thing I have encountered in a long time.

If you are travelling to Newcastle by train, this is a convenient location. Just buy what you need in an instant.

Been going to the same Sainsbury's for 9 years I'm 27 and twice now they've ID'd for a red bull at 7am dressed in full work wear, there becomes a point where assuming I'm 15 is just stupidity. I have tattoos and was paying using a winning scratch card. Come on.
