Word of warning please don't let your young adults with autism or social anxiety go into the pound shop clayton street on their own. what I witnessed today was disgusting a young lad was stopped clearly with special needs by a proper jobs worth thinking he had stollen from them and the way she spoke to him was horrendous to the point I went back in and spoke to the manager x she's lucky it wasn't any of mine she wouldnt have a hair left on her head x POUND SHOP DO BETTER ??

Went to Poundland this morning picked a few items up went to the till about 5 tills card only 2 tills cash or card big queue someone said to a member of staff is there nobody on the pay till and they said no not today so I dumped my shopping and walked out but there was staff standing around what a Micky mouse company

Warning for anyone with mobility issues, I'd just go elsewhere. It's nearly impossible to get around the shop, especially when it's busy. They've clearly decided stopping shoplifting is more important than helping disabled people as they've blocked off half the shop, forcing you to go the long way around to the checkouts. And then they litter the aisles with big basket things and their own stock trollies. Though ironically you never actually see anyone putting out stick from these things and the shelves are always half empty. Then you get to the checkouts where they have 4 normal checkouts and about a dozen self checkouts. Problem is that they only ever have 3 or 4 of these self checkouts open, which completely defeats the point of them, and very rarely have anyone on the normal checkout, leading to massive queues. Which again is terrible for disabled people who can't stand and wait for long periods of time.

Terrible customer service. Cashier ignored me when I was waiting for them to approve a sale on self service. She went off to stack baskets because baskets are more important than serving customers. I'll never shop there again.
