I had a missed parcel from DPD so using their email with a scannable QR Code I took it to the post office in Dinnington. I arrived before 9 but was aware it didn?t open up until 9. The door wasn?t opened till 9.05 with no apology made. The lad who let me in had music blasting, drinking a cuppa which isn?t wrong in itself but he looked like he had been dragged out of bed and couldn?t be bothered with life let alone a customer. I had to ask him to turn the music down as I couldn?t hear myself speak. I showed him the QR code and he asked me for ID. The card left by DPD didn?t require one but I did offer a photo of my passport and driving licence as well as offering to show him a statement on my online banking which he refused. I called DPD to complain and asked why they didn?t tell me I needed ID and they said I didn?t. They called the post office but got no answer so emailed them to explain I could get the parcel and ID wasn?t necessary. To save another wasted journey I called the post office and he still refused to let me collect without ID. it?s a very important parcel containing someone?s loved one?s ashes. I don?t have ID on me today so am not able to provide this. To say I?m annoyed is an understatement. The staff need re trained

They don't know how to answer a phone and think it's OK when they do answer to not say a word and hang up
