Decent service, but they're very pushy to the point of being rude in making people use the self serve kiosks. Multiple elderly people tried to say no to using them and the employee just said, "it's easy, just do it, come on". This dynamic plays out no matter who is on kiosk duty.I'm glad the kiosks are there for people who want them, but they shouldn't be rude to the technically impaired or people who just don't like them.

Popped in at 17:15, pretty quiet for a change, and nice to see a member of staff being pro active taking parcels from people and helping with the automated tills.

Horrible service, horrible attitude. I've been going to the same post office for good 3 years because it is the most convenient and closer to work. Over these 3 years I've had to put up with their awful attitude and bad service, but I've had enough. This past week I've been three times.First time, early in the morning: massive queue, no self counters open. Only 2 people in the counters. A lady is rightfully complaining about how slow the service is to a friend who is joining her in the queue. The lady in the counter hears her and comes out to aggressively address the situation saying that is not her fault someone from the team called in sick last minute and another one is running late. How is this an acceptable explanation?Second time my card was declined due to my banking being down (I found this out after I left, because of course there is no internet signal, so I couldn't check what the problem was), I explained I didn't have enough time to go get cash to please cancel the transaction. I was made to wait 20 minutes because the lady in the counter had no idea how to do it and none of her colleagues came to help or knew how to do it. During these 20 minutes I got eye rolls from the lady who finally seemed to realise how to cancel the transaction.Third day, I am moved from the queue to the self service, just for them to realise that I cannot send large letters internationally. So after sending all my national parcels, I am asked to join the back of the queue for the ONE international parcel. It is Xmas time and I already had been waiting for a little bit so the queue was much longer. With all the stress and moving around I forgot to pick my receipt with the tracking numbers for my parcels.Sick and tired of this team. NEVER AGAIN.

Appalling service went in yesterday around 10 am no self check outs on three old Mary's behind the counter only interested in nattering and laughing did not have an ounce of hurry up between the three of them avoid at all costs

Very helpful staff. Apparently due to some "cyber incident" Royal Mail suspended international mail, but the staff was able to help me work through the Parcel Force options.

I spoke to Nicky on the phone because I was having issues with a parcel that I was trying to track. She was a great help and because of her I have been able to track my parcel! Thanks for going above and beyond Nicky, you really helped me out :)

The workers were very cooperative, but a center of this size has only three workers in it, in addition to the fact that the weather was very hot and the wait was long. There was an elderly man who could not stand the wait because the service was very slow due to the lack of staff

I visit this post office (in WH Smith?s Northumberland Street) frequently due to good opening hours.The customer service improved a lot recently and I am being made feel welcome every time I come to post something (which is almost every other day)It is only 4 not 5 star because I feel that Royal Mail is trying too hard to make people use self-service check out machines. For this reason they often put an insufficient number of cashiers in this post office (perhaps hoping people will get frustrated and use the computers instead). Most people won't and still wait. This results in quite long queue. For me check out at the counter will always be better. Not only because I enjoy seeing humans having jobs but also because the quality of 'signed for' receipt form the counter is better;When you go online and track items dispatched at the counter, you can see the item was actually dispatched, where it was dispatched at (which exactly post office) and what time. This is important for my online customers. The tracking generated by the self-service stations does not offer this part of tracking information. The receipts are also of lower quality, printed on lower quality paper. The ink oxidises and disappears within a few months (problematic when you keep these receipts as part of business expenses- these are supposed to be kept for 5-6 years).I also noticed a guy who regularly pushes into the queue by entering it from the side (there is a gap). I saw him doing this several times. Closing the gap he uses to enter and asking him to finally show some consideration for others would make many, patiently waiting to be served customers, more happy :)
