Highest rated restaurant in Newcastle for a reason: a contemporary British menu. Staff were attentive (shout-out to Kieran). Would recommend anything from the grill and the black garlic sauce and the pea and asparagus risotto. High quality cocktails, which have a happy hour deal. In addition, there is a whole veggie/vegan menu.

We were served by lilly who took our order, she was excellent with the unfortunate order mistakes coming from the kitchen today. Your chef needs to up his game as belly pork was tough also he definitely can't make custard (warm vanilla milk a custard it is not )the staff were attentive and courteous so they deserve 10/10 for the service they delivered.

I had a delicious vegan risotto here 20/5/25.
Server was polite and helpful.
I felt comfortable as a solo diner. I do think the vegetarian and vegan menu should be displayed outside as I?ve walked past here loads of times thinking there were no options

I booked here for the beginnng of my sisters in law?s hen doo and really wish we had went elsewhere.
Apparently, the chef only knows how to cook a steak pink or not, words of the waitress. Very strange. I?ve managed a bar/restaurant of my own and one of the main things focused on in training was how to cook a steak. And to top it off the steak sandwiches were cold. When asked if everything was ok with the food l mentioned this and was told she would let the kitchen know then avoided for the rest of the sitting. I was polite about it and told her a would eat it as we had waited so long for our food that l was starving by this time and didn?t want to cause a scene in the beginning of my sister in law?s day out.
I then had to listen to the rest of my party?s discussions on how poor the service was. Two other members were from a front of house/restaurant job role. I was stuck in the centre of a table set against the wall so it wasn?t easy to get in or out to go and speak with anyone. No one came to ask if we wanted drinks. I had one drink the duration of the almost two hours l spent there as did others. The young girl seemed to be avoiding us and l could see her speaking with other staff about us.
Uncomfortable, disappointing and not the experience l wanted for my sister in law. I begrudged paying the bill but like l say l didn?t want to make the atmosphere for her special occasion any worse than it already was down to going here.

Really nice and clean bar. Music was just the right level that you can enjoy it without screaming at each other. Drinks and food were delicious. We had the 2 course set menu which is fantastic value. Do not pass up the sticky toffee pudding!
