Lens replacement for early cataracts at Newcastle branch. The process was professional, efficient and patient care at the centre. From pre procedure appointments I was made to feel welcome and comfortable by Lauren, to excellent pre op consultation, review and prep for the procedure by optometrist Kattie. Day of the procedure was a professional clinical process that kept me relaxed, with lots of checks and supporting nurses. The surgeon, Mirna Belovari, was excellent explaining all through the procedure in a calm realaxed manner that felt very reassuring. Cant fault the day at all. Day 1 after the procedure and vision is remarkable. Was in the hands of Lauren and Kattie again for day 1 checkup which is great continuity to have as a patient. Discomfort is minimal, and expected after eye surgrey. Extremely happy with the whole process and results.

The whole process from start to finish was incredible, all the staff made sure i was looked after and had everything i needed to feel comfortable. My surgeon was amazing, it was a scary process in thought but i was put completely at ease, the assistants who supported both him and myself during my treatment were also incredible. The aftercare was amazing and the clinic was very thorough to make sure i was healing as i should be. Jan and Laura were always lovely and welcoming each time i was in which helped me feel a lot more comfortable and confident with the process. Absolutely life changing experience and i could not be more grateful!

Optical express is only after your money. No aftercare what so ever I got lens replacement two half years ago . I cannot read struggle with the TV and making out peoples faces driving is becoming difficult it?s really impacting on my everyday life I rang and brought it to their attention I got it will cost £100 for 1st app then another £800 for each eye to fix!! I paid nearly £6.300 for this procedure. It?s a small minority people who have this problem and a small fix . Why can there not be help for people who have this problem when the company are taking 6 to 7 grand off their clients.and when things go wrong they throw you to the lions. Im still waiting for them to reply from my phone call. It?s an absolute disgrace that they cannot even be bothered to ring me back . PLEASE don?t expect them to care. Thank you Optical express for leaving me with100 time worse eyesight before I had the procedure .

Absolutely fantastic lens replacement was painless and was reassured throughout and now 4 days later sight is amazing and after 12hrs had 20/20 vision ?

Worse vision than before surgery. Also forcing me to pay £200 per appointment now for issues that they caused to my eyes that have been an issue since day 1 after surgery. Obviously will not be paying this. Already charged 4x the 595 per eye that was advertised. Waiting on the refund now thanks be it from OE or through court.

Appalling. Bait and switch marketing. Severe underplaying of risks involved in laser eye surgery. Oh and found out recently from a specialist I saw in London that I never should have been a candidate for the surgery in the first place. Simply put they don't care and will do whatever they can to take your money, no matter what. Could probably create a trilogy of books on the number of issues I had with this company. AVOID

Four weeks ago I had Lens Replacement Surgery and I?m totally thrilled with the results. It?s completely life changing to be able to read almost any print, drive and see both long distance and the dashboard clear as anything and use my phone and laptop without the need for glasses. Special mention to Karen for being so patient and answering all my questions along with Mr Matthew and his Team for taking such great care. I couldn?t remand this procedure more for anyone wishing to ditch their glasses - just wish I had done it sooner! Thank you Team Optical Express!

Just had multifocal lens replacement at newcastle optical expressFantastic service from every single staff member, from the lovely receptionist who remembers my name every time to the surgeon who was fantastic and did the job in a few minutes with no pain whatsoever, i opted for one eye at a time as i was terrified something might go wrong but just wished i got them done together as it was really quick and no problems whatsoever, my second eye was done 2 days ago and i can now see perfectly, no halos at night or flashes or any other side effects at all. Absolutely love my new eyes without glasses ??Thank you all so much for making it such a pleasant worry free experience.Darren winter

Awesome experience from the initial consultation to the after care. Laura was great fun throughout and took good care of me ? All of the staff are really friendly, reassuring and instantly recognise you on each visit, greeting you using your name which is proper personal service.

Can?t reccomend them enough for laser eye surgery. From initial consultation through to just being discharged today, I am over the moon. It?s the best money I?ve ever spent on myself and probably ever will be. I was so concerned about the health of my eyes with contact lenses and rapidly increasing prescribtions and now I?ve got better than 20/20 vision and no issues, and the health of my eye is perfect now. I can?t quite believe it still. The process was smooth. The surgery itself was so quick, if anything too quick, which is good and bad. It was painless during the surgery itself. It didn?t start to become uncomfortable until I was in the car on the way home, so I reccomend having someone be able to take you home/hotel quite quickly so you can settle and take some pain killers and get off to sleep. I did manage to sleep for a couple of hours and the pain had calmed down. Vision was good straight after, just a little blurry and then 20/20 by the next day. Amazing!! I found the surgery ok to cope with as I just reminded myself how it was worth it, and they knew what they were doing. I just put faith in that. And tried to zone out. Easier said than done I know. But you can?t actually see. It?s not the most amazing experience the surgery itself but it?s manageable! And such a short amount of time. I found it quite overwhelming how quick it was really. The staff at Newcastle were fantastic and the team at Darlington are also fantastic. Can?t fault them one bit! Thank you!!

Multifocal Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) Surgery.Following a recommendation from a friend I contacted Optical Express and made an appointment for RLE multifocal surgery. From the moment I walked in the door during the initial consultation to the procedure and the following aftercare all the staff especially Jean have been amazing and very friendly which put me at ease. The procedure itself was very quick and pain free, took no more than 10 mins per eye. Following my post procedure check the following day my sight was found to be 20/20 vision, if not betterAs I?ll never need to wear glasses again, this procedure has been life changing and I would highly recommend Optical Express who have been amazing thought the whole process.

I have just had my lens replacement surgery done yesterday at Optical Express St Nicholas Newcastle. First of all I would like to say a big big thank you to Laura who was my first point of contact she explained everything to me making me feel relaxed and less nervous . Laura was so professional throughout my appointment there was never any pressure to sign up for the surgery. Laura gave me the relevant information to read and said go home take your time to read the information and if I needed to talk to her just to phone any time. My surgery yesterday was great all the staff I came into contact with were very professional making me feel relaxed right from the start. The surgeon talked me through the whole operation making me feel very comfortable during the surgery. The surgery lasted about 30 minutes and I never felt a thing apart from water on my eyes. When I left the surgery I was giving a nice cup of tea before heading home. When I left I was in no pain at all the only thing was the light outside seemed really harsh and my eyes seemed very cloudy. Today the next morning I woke up painless and was amazed at just how much I could see, if after one day I am this happy then things can only get better. If you are thinking about Lens replacement surgery I would definitely recommend it and I would definitely recommend Optical Express in Newcastle.I must say again a big thank you to Laura if it was not for her taken time to explain everything and making me feel relaxed about the surgery I may still be struggling with contact lens and multi focal glasses. Thank you 5 star from me.
