Although the staff were friendly and welcoming, the place was cold and not particularly inviting. The meals came rather too quickly but the most disappointing thing was the quality of the food. For a specialist chicken restaurant, the chicken breast served was almost inedible and the chips barely warm and soggy. In fact, the chicken was so dry and the outer layers so hard, it was virtually impossible to cut with the cutlery provided. I would go so far as to say it tasted like it had been reheated and was certainly not freshly cooked. It had certainly not been finished by flame grilling as Nandos claim, with not one grill used the whole time we were there. A completely disappointing experience and one we will not be repeating.

Hi May I say what lovely professional staff you have here in Newcastle the gate ? my husband I had a Christmas shopping day 16 th December and called in for a delicious meal just after 9 pm ? There was a couple of unsavoury customers who were testing the staff being overly merry !! And complaining in a loud attitude? these staff work very hard and dealt with this situation so well ? please give these young and enthusiastic staff the credit they deserve? the situation was resolved by professional and quick thinking? no one in the business of customer service should ever have to put up with people who have had too much to drink and be insultive towards anyone?. Well done especially to the young duty manager that professionally dealt with the customers and the situation expediently? I would sincerely at higher management give these staff who were on shift recognition of their hard work ? we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service and attentiveness was 100 % merry Christmas and hope to see you again when we come back from Spain

We came in last minute on a busy Saturday, we were expecting a long wait or no tables but were seated straight away. Even accommodated a push chair.
Service was really quick and food delicious. All the staff were friendly and chatty which was a great, a big shout out to Blake and Louise.

A man called syd with a green shirt refused access to a booth to me and my friends. We asked why and he said they are booked but our friends who hadn?t booked got seated there 5 minutes after. Additionally he was rude to us and condensing as we were school children. The rest of the staff were amazing but syd really ruined the experience and made us uncomfortable. Please keep this in mind for the better of Nando?s and the staff room, food was good on the other hand.

Great food and atmosphere. However staff struggled to understand me at the till and didn't speak loud enough for me to hear them in the loud atmosphere.
