Maybe l have to visit a few more times. I hate the self checkouts. I was a little disappointed , l have not long retired and l will work for any company for free , staff member was a little abrupt when l refused to use the self checkout. Awkward opening doors to get to the products you want , if someone is in front of you ,you have to queue to get in and get the item you want . If you are disabled it may be tricky to open the door , keep it open and reach for the items. It is good to have wider walk ways . The shop l feel is too big , l tend to avoid big stores l just lose interest.

Amazing refurbishment.
It's got more wider aisles.
More self checkouts.
Staff were friendly.
Just so glad to have the store back.

Beautiful new store which is now a large food hall, was greeted with a supersized Percy Pig at the entrance and 2 lovely ladies who gave me a Percy Pig bag as the store had just opened.
Most things are clearly laid out in large upstanding fridges, well stocked, clear and organised, plenty of staff to check that you have found what?s needed and lots of options at checkout.
Has click and collect for parcels at the back of the store.
I did love the playful visit with buttons near the dairy and eggs that play sounds of cows and chickens.

Food hall only since June 2025. Closed for refurb until August. Plenty of free parking, but limited to 3 hours which is adequate for number of shops in this retail area.

They have halved the store.
Not shopping there anymore.

My sister and I were in your store on Tuesday, 8th January, to specifically enjoy a coffee in the upstairs cafe and then to browse the sale goods. We had the good fortune to meet one of your senior staff members in the children's dept, a lovely lady named Paula (unfortunately did not get her surname). What a charming lady she was and after exchanging conversation when she discovered my 70th birthday had been in December, she offered both of us a complimentary cream tea in the cafe as a very unexpected gift! How kind, thoughtful and generous that was and, sadly, we couldn't find her later after our cream tea. So I would like to thank Paula so very much for this fabulous gesture and say how much it meant to us! We thoroughly enjoyed the M&S hospitality and Paula's very unexpected kindness. Thank you... Made our in-store experience that much more special? Kind regards Lesley Bridge

The doors from the cafe that lead into the unisex and disabled toilets should be automatic, customers needed to hold the doors open for a wheelchair user today.

We went for some lunch before food shopping today. The staff were so lovely and polite (as always)
I choose the meat platter. It was absolutely delicious. Plenty of variety and a large serving of flat bread. Highly recommend it.

Visited this store yesterday and it's great! We went to the cafe and their food was lovely. We also visited the foodhall and picked up some groceries and they even sold insulated big bags which we shall reuse for a picnic! I would definitely recommend this store if you want a great M&S with friendly staff.
