“Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, amazing bistro food. Reasonably priced for what you are getting, the room was very well equipped, we had a standing bath tub , huge shower, coffee maker etc and the staff all did their best to make everything as good as it could be - fast service and helpful tips for the area. The only thing I can fault at this branch is the parking. You pay £15 a night to be able to use their car park, however anyone using the bistro can also use the car park. So we paid our parking fee, parked, then left for one evening to explore and came back - no parking. We had to wait until 11pm (regularly checking) for a space, in the meantime we had to leave our car several streets away. They did offer us a refund on parking for that night and we also met another couple in the exact same situation. I can't help but think this could be remedied if there was designated bistro parking and designated hotel stay parking.”

“I read the reviews and they said they hotel was tired and dated, I experienced nothing of the sort. It was warm, welcoming and the staff could not have done enough for us. The in-house cafe and the bar and restaurant on level one were exquisite.”

“As always the Prem`s never fail to impress or satisfy in my personal opinion and experience. Stayed in dozens around the country whilst working away and this one in Newcastle was just perfect for all needed on a night away for a concert. Staff were amazing and friendly and the service was spot on.”

“I mean a travel lodge is a travel lodge but the blonde girl with the glasses who was on reception 1/2/24 was really nice and really helpful (management give her a pat on the back)”

“One night stay to break our journey. Huge car park and plenty of spaces. Room on third floor was very spacious but furniture little dated. We used the pool and spa and very nice and relaxing. Went to dinner but was closed so went over to Metro Centre (5 minutes walk). A great hotel and I will use againNearby activities: Metro Centre is 5 minutes walk”

“Currently having a great experience with the breakfast in bed room service at The County Hotel in Newcastle! The convenience and quality of in-room dining, rather that hauling my hung-over self to the dining room is much appreciated.Just ordered a full English breakfast with a side of pastries, pot of tea, fresh orange and toast, value for money! The staff are just lovely, and the rooms are large and comfortable.”

“Our stay was good , room was nice and clean the only thing we had a problem with was the temperature in the room it was very cold ,we did try ti turn the heating up but it just kept going back down, we did ask at reception and a young lad did come to the room but l don't think he knew how to sort it as he told us to just keep pushing the button on the thermostat.”

“Me and my Doggo, received a warm reception. Room very comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee and a good shower. Unfortunately, sleep disturbed by a numpty next door, who insisted on playing his radio at top volume . however, when the night staff advised of this and numpty still refused to turn his music down. They couldn’t have been more apologetic and move me to a different room - Quiet bliss! So overall, hotel, comfy and friendly, and unfortunately you just can’t control the numpties in this world !”

“The room and service was nice, will return. Friendly staff. But the restaurant is poor and far too expensive, don't bother, never thought I'd say this but go to Spoons down the road for food. Hey, nice pint of Guinness though (poured by a robot).”

“The common areas are a little tired looking. However, the room was clean, with a bath and a powerful shower. All the staff we saw were very pleasant and helpful. We didn't use the lounges or restaurant as we were visiting family.Only twenty minutes walk from the Biscuit Factory gallery, and about the same to the city centre. Jesmond has all we required, great cafés and shops.”

“Stayed here while visiting the local hospital, which was around a 15-minute drive away.
The room was clean and located at the back of the hotel, so we barely heard any road noise. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The only downside was some strange noise during the night—it sounded like someone running around on the roof. We were on the top floor, so not sure what it was, but it did go on for a while and made it a bit hard to sleep.

Restaurant on site was good value for money, really friend staff and good food.

Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay for what we needed.”

“The room that I had was clean, and as expected. The decor was a little bit aging in places, such as the bathroom. However the rate was cheap. A small number of the rooms are in an annex, which has to be accessed via an outside walk from reception.”

“Easy to get to, just at the end of the motorway. City centre is another 20 min drive away. Very comfortable room had a good night sleep having got there after midnight and checked out at 10am.Side topic found free parking 10 min from the Newcastle stadium for the 4-4 draw with Luton. Would come back.Nearby activities: South should beach about 20 min drive away.”

“We are currently staying here for a 2 night break for my disabled sons birthday. The staff are absolutely fantastic. We checked in yesterday and went out for a couple of hours. We came back to the room where staff had been in and left a gorgeous helium happy birthday balloon, a birthday card, some chocolate and a gift for my little boy. They really made his day and ours. Brilliant and thoughtful!!”

“Superfijn hotel 5 minuten lopen van coachstation. Super vriendelijke medewerkers.Behulpzaam en servicegericht.Kamer was netjes, heerlijk geslapen fijn bed. Rustige plek het zit een beetje verborgen. Geen overlast van dronken passanten. Een aanraderWalkability: Vlakbij coachstation. 8 minuten lopen naar de venue waar we een gig hadden.Food & drinks: Wij hadden een veganburger met friet. Erg lekker.”

“Really can't complain about anything. If you're expecting 5* luxury then you're going to the wrong place (although the rooms are clean and comfortable). However £45 for 3 of us in 1 room saved us a fortune in taxis after going to a gig in Newcastle. It was cheaper to stay overnight at Travelodge, then get train back in the morning.”
