Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, amazing bistro food. Reasonably priced for what you are getting, the room was very well equipped, we had a standing bath tub , huge shower, coffee maker etc and the staff all did their best to make everything as good as it could be - fast service and helpful tips for the area. The only thing I can fault at this branch is the parking. You pay £15 a night to be able to use their car park, however anyone using the bistro can also use the car park. So we paid our parking fee, parked, then left for one evening to explore and came back - no parking. We had to wait until 11pm (regularly checking) for a space, in the meantime we had to leave our car several streets away. They did offer us a refund on parking for that night and we also met another couple in the exact same situation. I can't help but think this could be remedied if there was designated bistro parking and designated hotel stay parking.

Hotel du Vin hosted another great wine evening on Thursday with excellent food - please pass on my praise to the chef - and great wines from the Rhone Valley. Mike from Enotria was a knowledgeable expert. All the wines were good, but I think the St. Joseph red was my favourite and Debbie really enjoyed the Viognier. I'm looking forward to the next one already.

Wonderful stay in a stunning suite. Cocktails in the bar are beautiful and the service is excellent. Room was so lovely with a huge bed, side by side baths and gorgeous done shower. Fully stocked mini bar that we felt was reasonably priced. Robes, slippers, lovely toiletries and everything you need for a comfortable night's stay. Beautiful breakfast in the morning with so much to choose from both hot and cold. This is the 2nd time we have stayed and will definitely stay again.

Visited here a number of time, but the last visit fell well below par.The restaurant was freezing cold and no attempt to remedy the issue was forthcoming. We had to sit with coats on, it was that cold. The food.. rump steak? was more like a quick fry steak, being no more than a few millimetres thick. Definitely not a rump steak by any stretch of the imagination. The steak knifes couldn?t have cut butter. No serrated knifes, just a blunt knife with a wooden handle. Then pudding arrived. Créam Brûlée? obviously just been taken out of the fridge and bunged in the microwave. Slightly warm on the outsides? cold in the middle. The issues were politely addressed to the staff who apologised and were well aware of the issues with the steak, but did nothing except welcomed us to return. At the prices charged, you?d expect something better than the local Toby Carvery!Won?t be returning and certainly won?t recommend to anyone.

Such an exquisite hotel. I have attended a wedding and most recently Sunday lunch with my daughters. Both experiences were astounding.

My husband and I visited for the first time during restaurant week and we were utterly spoilt! You could be forgiven for assuming as its a cheaper deal you'd be treat/served a lower standard of food/service as we have experienced elsewhere but it was certainly quite the opposite. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table, the vibe of the restaurant felt luxurious and chilled and our food was beautiful. I have to mention in particular Shaun, who made our night particularly special, nothing was a problem, he ensured we were looked after the whole evening, checking in on us, ensuring we weren't sat waiting long between courses, entertaining us with great banter and he perfectly paired a complimentary drink for us both based on what we ordered for our meals. Thank you so much for a fabulous evening, we will be back!!

As a Wedding Photographer, The Hotel Du Vin is a fantastic venue for weddings! Gorgeous food and super helpful staff as always! There are so many cool locations for photos in and around the hotel, the history of the building giving a vintage, industrial vibe. I love it and cant wait to shoot more weddings here!

Lovely Sunday lunch, we had a NHS voucher which allowed us to have 3 course meal, starter, Sunday lunch and pudding, I have never seen Yorkshire puddings that size before they were huge, very nice areas to sit inside and outside, staff very welcoming and helpful, will definitely go back
