Booked a table, for a Friday afternoon, only for the place to be shut?? Asked a nearby bar to find out they moved out! Really disappointed

This was a visit on the valentines weekend which may have not reflected well as it was busy and we felt rushed, however the food was good presentation was beautiful, the tempura and prawns were great, unfortunately was let down by some of the other combinations which weren?t to my liking. Although I would like to try the food again on a regular weekend to have the full experience and give it another shot.

Great concept, lovely place but the food is not that great. It seems that in order to justify the price the dishes have too many (unusual) components resulting in an incoherent mess.

Really enjoyed our brunch here. We turned up quite early today but they let us sit outside to have a coffee whilst we waited. Loads of choice on the menu as well as loads of different and unique options on there too. Really attentive staff as they keep coming over to offer you drinks. Really reasonably priced too. Really reccomend.

We had a lovely time at Horticulture for brunch! The food was delicious topped off with brilliant service by Mariola. We will definitely be going back?

That is a really nice brunch spot in the city. We visit quite often and has never disappointed. Everything tasty amd well prepared. There is also a small terrace where you can enjoy your brunch.

We visited this restaurant on Wednesday 10 December at 5pm. They had an early bird special on from 4pm to 5.30pm three plates for £20. We were not allowed to take advantage of this offer because we didn?t request it when we booked. Well we were not aware of it until we seen the menu. I really thought this was poor. The restaurant was freezing cold and when we complained they went and got a mobile heater for us. The food was nice but brought out as and when cooked. This meant that some folk had two plates of food some had none. The service was also poor.

Cory and Naomi knew what my strange requested drink was, and supplied it in a very funny manner. Can't wait to see the pair of them again!

Amazing taste and great service. Maybe a bit on the pricey side for NCL, but definitely worth it.

It was awful!
We visited Newcastle from the US and it was recommended to go there.
We ordered 2 coffees and then our breakfast.
I ordered TWO EGGS, NOTHING ELSE, JUST TWO EGGS. It came on bread with cheese, a green sauce, and enough salt for the whole restaurant!
Because of health issues I could not eat that. So, I said, I want 2 eggs and nothing else! I stressed, TWO EGGS, No cheese, no sauce, no bread, and even NO SALT!
My meal came back with the eggs again on bread, which I could scrape off, but again so full of salt that I ate a few bites and then no more.
I could not have been any clearer on asking for 2 eggs ONLY, especially the second time!
Also, we never got our coffee! We left to go somewhere else for coffee and something for me for breakfast.
Awful!

Myself and my partner did not know what to expect from this place. The idea of sharing plates is great...the amount of food you get on each plate is a little bit less than I'd like for the price, but I do have a decent appetite.
The food was great, and very well presented.
Harrisa Smoked Salmon - although you wouldn't be able to tell as there was no hint of Harrisa, did not spoil the food however. Well presented and tasty.
The Miso Beef Cheek was brilliant, very tasty and very well presented.
The tear apart foccachia bread was good, and very tasty. As were the cranberry and brie balls.
The pigs in blankets were a nice idea, very tasty, but the bowl of truffle and parmesan potatoes was huge, very un-characterisitic of the theme of the entire table given such small portions in comparison.
We tried the after eight Cocktail, which was nice. I am confused why there was no mention of the price of the bottle of still water on the menu? I looked it over and over but couldn't find it.
All in all we paid just south of £80 for our meal, two snacks, two sides, two mains, two cocktails and a bottle of water.
Happy to pay this, but I was still hungry when we left.
Would recommend this place to anybody.
Well done!

Lovely service here, Mariola was lovely and attentive, although she was the only one working with a full restaurant. The food wasn?t good. The Shakeshuka was more like a chilli with the amount of beans. Wouldn?t be surprised if they double up for dinner. But wasn?t very flavoursome. Hash browns were also very average felt like they were just frozen ones with a squirt of sirarcha and sesame seeds
