“A delightful place to shop and find unadvertized bargains . If you look good enough you just might spot a new product during your next visit . I have found frozen ducks , Grape Fanta , Nes Quick Chocolate bars just to name a few things .Just make sure that you have enough money on you when you go shopping there .If I find something that I know that I love and it's available , I'm going to stock up on it and I won't have to risk missing out on it .”

“I've just been in Aldi 13/7, at 10.45 approximately ,an old man behind me was about to pay for an item when the manager approached him and very politely asked him to empty all the items from his pockets which he had stolen from the shop floor, the man looked bemused but only emptied his pockets when the police were mentioned,he had stolen bars of chocolate etc .The manager handled the situation amazingly well ,the old man even thanked him for the way he dealt with the situation to which the manager replied ,we know times are hard for everyone but we all have to pay for our shopping.I thought the manager dealt with the situation in a humane and dignified manner. well done to all the staff in Aldi Cowgate .”

“First time to this waitrose, and for it being a little waitrose, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the store. There are plenty of well stocked shelves and plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly and very helpful when it came to using the self-service tills”

“Nice place but every time I come in, if a specific security guard is on duty, he stalks me around the shop from the second I pass the threshold. Definitely makes shopping a weirdly tense experience. My partner and flatmate tend to do all the shopping now... I'm not really welcome there for some reason”

“Moved just across the road in July and delighted with our local shop since then. Lovely cast of characters behind the kiosk who are always polite and helpful. They have advised me on multiple occasions when I could save myself some money with a better deal and that says a lot in my opinion. Never any judgement from the staff and the local deals are very good for a Londis (sorry). Highly recommended”

“5 stars anyway for Aldi. Got to know about Aldi while living in Australia. A woman l knew asked me why l always shopped at Woolworth and not Aldi so l gave it a try and got hooked. I loved their coconut yogurt and giant prawns back in Australia. I’ve been on the lookout for this same coconut yogurt in the U.K but they don’t sell it. Honestly, they should. I love Aldi because of the quality of their products, affordability and variety. I think Aldi here in England needs to borrow a leaf from that of Australia. They’re much more creative in Australia.I LOVE ALDI!!!!”

“Staff are friendly and go out of their way to help customers. Unfortunately the car park is now controlled by Britania Parking, not a company I would associate with Waitrose. They have me parked there when in reality I was at work miles away. Come on Waitrose sort your own car park and do not rely on these people.”

“This is a good store, but...It's a shame that the security guard he had a bad attitude, he made my family feel humiliated because we had a pack of chocolates individual bars in packs that we paid for at a Aldi store, from a few days ago and they were open as my mum has diabetes and has to have sugar because her sugar levels can get low. The security guard demanded that we show him the receipt which we did but demanded why they were open. He saw us at the till paying for our shopping and probably thought we were stealing which WE WERE NOT, My family and I have never felt so insulted in our lives. I have a disability and felt intimidated by the security guard, The security guard needs to be respectful and think better. This was on 4/9/23 around 9PM ish”

“Quite cheap most of the time. Good they have pay at the pump so you don't need to go inside to encounter the miserable woman who always gives me the opinion that she'd be happier if there was no customers. ”

“The joy of waking around this store is finding the random foods that look interesting. Burger loaded fries, pepperoni pasta bake...if you are bored of what you are eating ...give this place a go. It wasn't too busy despite being a prime time to shop. The carpark is spacious and there were slots. Good shopping experience.”

“Brilliant village shop, able to get your small essential items here instead of having to travel to a big supermarket. The owners are lovely and are really helpful. You are able to use this shop to send back deliveries to amazon and envri, which I have never had any problems with.”

“Small shop but can grab just about anything you need. Clean shop too. There is only ever ONE TILL on and i have seen the cue go right up the isle. Very VERY slow if there is a few customers in the shop and it can get busy for a small outlet.”
