Small unit on the river, with an outdoor seating area over the road, but I visited on a Sunday when the road is closed off by the markets.
Good, quick service. Food and coffee consistent with most other branches.

Always order via the app as lunch time is always busy. Staff have everything ready just to pick up. One thing I have noticed is text confimation is fine but email confirmation of order arrives next day.

THIS IS A REVIEW ABOUT GREGGS TERRIBLE HEAD OFFICE SERVICE. I HAVE TRIED ALL WEEK TO ORDER £100 GIFT VOUCHERS FOR A TEAM REWARD. THEIR WEBSITE DOES NOT WORK. I EMAIL THEM AND THEY DONT ANSWER. YOU CALL AND YOU HAVE TO RING SOMEONE ELSE. THEY THEN WANT YOU TO FILL IN A FORM AND PAY A COMMISSION TO BUY SOME SAUSAGE ROLLS. WHAT A JOKE. THEY WON'T GET ANY BUSINESS FROM ME AS THEY DONT NEED THE MONEY. NO APOLOGY WHEN I SAID ITS NOT GOOD, BYE WAS THE ANSWER FROM THE HELPFUL ADVISOR. MY ADVICE GO TO AMAZON YOUR TEAM WILL GET IT MUCH MORE QUICKLY AND RELIABLY.

Large queue when we got there at lunch time but the queue went down very quickly. However, the food available is not as good as other Gregg's as there was no real hot food like potato wedges.The pasties that I got were cold so not the best experience at a Gregg's

This branch always seems to be a mess as it's so small and stuff is everywhere. The staff have little craic (unlike those at the Monument branch who are great). Could do with taking the COVID shields away as well unless it's now used as protection from the homeless folk who hang about the entrance. Today the Ham Salad Baguette had the texture/ taste of yesterday's. The Apple Juice was not chilled and tastes about half as appley as Tesco's 500ml meal deal bottle. All was not quite lost though as the Belgian Bun was delicious. Value was OK at £4.85 had the sandwich and juice been nicer.

Lovely location overlooking the Tyne and another typical visit to a place I?ve a real soft spot for. A ?run of the mill? order - a Mexican Chicken Sandwich, a Steak Bake ?chaser?, Crisps and a Water. No complaints, with quick service and good value for money as always. A welcome find along the quayside, to break up a day of presentations and briefs.
