Smashing full English breakfast, great value for money. Service was excellent, very friendly. This place is very popular so can get busy sometimes. So far this is the best place I've found for breakfast unless you're prepared to pay daft prices. And contrary to some comments, the lasses are friendly, just a bit busy.

Cheap cheap sausages, tiny cups, nice location. Bread not buttered not given the option, tomatoes were tinned tasted like the pan just gets topped up daily and never washed. Not impressed by this greasy spoon and the owners prioritise profit over quality.

Situated inside granger street market newcastle. I often eat here when i travel up from saltburn. Very friendly staff & very busy cafe. I had to queue today for a table. Very clean (5 star) hot & cold food available along with hot cold drinks. Seats around 50. Highly recommended

Staying in Newcastle last week had a few meals in here beef roast, beef stew and dumplings and mince and dumplings all home cooked food, the staff are all pleasant and keep the place running smoothly, will be back on our next visit to Newcastle?..

Not a customer friendly place and you're not allowed to share a pot of tea with someone which is abnormal, this is kind of miserable cafe feel like you've overpaid and been in terms of low quality

First time I've been there with my husband food is amazing all home cooked I got a turkey dinner and hubby got mince and dumplings all freshly cooked and homemade will definitely go back really enjoyed our meal and good staff and atmosphere

Food isn't great and you're not allowed to share a pot of tea with someone which is just ridiculous, buy your own or get out attitude. I've already paid for the pot, all I'd need is another cup. It's the same amount of tea.. this is a cafe you leave feeling like you've overspent and been mugged in terms of quality and friendliness

Great café, lovely staff and food. Only minor downside is it can be cold in the Grainger Market in winter, so wrap up. Worth it.
