Stumbled over this Gem by Accident. We had a very nice cup of tea and great Cake there - beside the charming atmosphere of a traditional Tea Room with very kind people !

Due to a cyclist friend that goes to capheaton most of the time I thought it was time to take a cycle there. Staff were sorting of packing up as I didn't get there til about 3pm ,but they stayed open with me turning up and I had a chat with the lovely staff and a very nice slice of cake n a coffee.

The cafe is a great place for cyclists to meet and eat . The food sandwiches and cake is very good . The staff are helpful and very pleasant. However the soup is awful, definitely doesn?t taste homemade and is just poor. Back in the day when Anne worked in the cafe , delicious homemade soup with a big fresh bread bun . I hope someone would address soupgate please and bring back good soup.

A local treasure, very popular and not always open so best to check before you head here. Soup deal is very popular with the regulars but the cake is tasty too!

Lovely old village hall now a cafe. Corrugated building over 100 years old, open weekends only out of season. Popular stop off for cyclists and loads of space ( we were the only non cyclists there but don?t let that deter you ) Incredibly reasonable prices for simple sandwiches that hit the spot. Very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Had a lovely chat with the owner.

Very nice selection of home-made cakes, a bit basic inside but characterful. There is a sort of veranda where you can sit outside but under cover with a dog.
