The Tuesday quiz is always good fun. Recommend that you book table in advance as it's usually full. Staff are great and the food and drinks are lovely. Highly recommend.

If I could give less I would. Literally the worst customer service ever. Gentleman behind bar has zero customer service skills and clearly lacks any resource planning skills too. If you are a bloke wanting a pint you will be fine. However if you are not a bloke and dont want a pint don't bother.

Fabulous afternoon watching Newcastle v Sunderland match. Half time food was great, service and atmosphere exceptional. Lovely pub.

Great friendly spot for drinks, and the food is incredible (especially Sunday lunch). Always made to feel looked after and accommodated by everyone behind the bar.

Enjoying drinks until a barmaid rudely interrupted a conversation to say our table was reserved from 5pm, we said ok no problem, to which she barked back it is 6pm now and walked away! We left our seats very much annoyed at having been spoken to in such a rude manner, left us not wanting to return to this venue ever.

We come here often for the weekly pub quiz, and sometimes grab food, the food is really good and great value for money, and the atmosphere and staff are great!

Great little pub on the highstreet called in for a late Sunday lunch at 4pm and still had full menu available, went for the 2 course offer £17.95 we shared the halloumi starter and dessert sticky toffee (which was more than enough) as the mains were huge! I ordered the beef and it was cooked perfectly! Plenty of gravy, the roast potatoes and veg were absolutely delicious! Sides of cauliflower cheese and mashed swede included. Staff were friendly and service was fast. Definitely be back again for another Sunday roast ?
