Abysmal, went in to asda tonight..walked around in disgust seeing the prices (extortionate prices) it was that bad I ended up leaving the store without buying anything.. come on asda behave yourselves, I work full time and your prices even made me leave your business.. hard times your going to lose customers if you keep pushing up the prices.

Needs more staff. Cues were huge security was in his box. And one poor woman was running the whole place. I asked was she alone she shrugged and said it looks that way. The other woman had gone off somewhere and took ages. I was in the cue for over 30 minutes and she didn't return. Poor management and lack of capable staff.

Went in here to get some eggs (my name is Egg Cov after all), met these two nice gentlemen. Said they owned a chippy. Took me out to the back and gave me free battered sausage! Left with a fiver and the battle pass. 4/5!

Not a bad shop at all. I recently moved back to benwell after spending a few years in Yorkshire where the Asda there was just horrible. Here tho this store there is more of a welcoming and more of a local thing going on here. I returned to look after my mum sadly end of life care. But the guys in this store have so much local values even though benwell is a very much multi cultural place these days the staff are so helpful and willing and I have noticed they are willing to go beyond the call of duty and they care for their customers regardless. staff are very much 5 star and deserve it. However after a lot of traveling in the UK and been in many asdas up and down the UK this store at no fault of its staff but more of a issue for the bigger people at Asda UK head office. The products on sale here is very by basic and not always full ranges I get floor space and you can't cram too much into a small space whilst also catering for the local multi cultural people of benwell to and Asda so a good job to That's why my 4 star review but a great job all round tho top marks to the staff tho

I do not need lectured about queuing at noon today by a blonde assistant when a situation is not my fault, I was first in a queue I believed was the only queue, so when a suitable self service till became available I moved to it, apparently now TWO queues here, of which I could not see an old lady standing at the front of because of a partition! The point is even if that person is any age as their seems to be TWO queues, how on earth do I know what they want to do payment wise anyway? The problem is the system, not me or anybody else showing initiative in the first place, then lectured about something I could not see.

hi, i still buy organic milk twice a week and buy 2 or 3 boxes each time but i don't understand why the milk always goes sour so fast, i have two daughters and they drink a lot of milk every day, every time i open the milk carton at 6pm to noon the next day it's sour if it's not spoiled then my baby can drink it all in a day and even it has a lot of expiration date. this has happened for the fourth time in the last 3 to 4 months I've ignored it before but this time it's happened more times than usual, I hope you can reconsider because if it's a repeat waste as well as health and more importantly mostly children drink moreThanks

Went in for something quick to eat. Nothing of interest. Left via the way I came in which triggered a audible alarm and the security guard to say "-its cos you came through the wrong way". I continue to exit the store and he says "bell end" assuming I haven't heard the alarms or his advice. I turn around and confront him about it and he instantly knows he's done wrong, denying that he said it and looking very meek avoiding eye contact like a coward. Small ginger securit guard guy. He's the real ? end

How is it when timetable signs right outside the shop says 7am to 11pm but yous are pretty much shutting when you feel like it, I was at work all day and came in for some baby milk at couple minutes to 10 too see the shop shut. If you aren't willing to stay open till 11 you need to change your timetables outside the shop

It's a smaller shop so won't have as large a range as a full size Asda, but it has a good selection of products for typical weekly shops. The fresh ready meal selection is pretty basic, but ambient selection is strong. There can be challenges restocking, so it is common to see shelves out of product.
