I?ve used Goldsmiths for many years, so when visiting your temporary store at the Gateshead Metro Centre, the sales assistant Andrew Scott was brilliant. So accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful without applying any pressure for sale.We were looking for a watch for my wife?s birthday. He spent time explaining the brands and when we saw a Tudor watch we liked, he explained in great detail the history of the company, as I?ve never heard of them before. We went away for me to look at the company further and return the next day.We were that impressed and delighted with the service I decided to buy a watch as well.

Excellent shopping experience at Goldsmiths Metrocentre each time I visit the shop. They always treat me fairly and with lot of respect and professionalism. The Manager,Andrew, who dealt with me has extraordinary communication skills and treats his customers with respect and value. Rarely you feel so pleased with the way you are treated in a shop even when you are buying something which is in high demand. Thanks to Goldsmith for the excellent experience!

Purchased a watch a few weeks ago and as the usual store in the metro centre was getting re-furbished, I tried to return it to 2 different stores in Darlington and Newcastle. The managers at both of them told me it was not possible to return items to a different store than where it was purchased which was frustrating. I discovered they'd opened a pop-up/temporary store in the diamond mall, and when I arrived and explained they were more than happy to return the item. The manager was both understanding and helpful, and so were the rest of the staff and they put my mind to ease. I frequent their store at the metro a lot anyway and all of the watch sales people and 2 of the managers have always given me the time of day and share their enthusiasm for wrist watches with me. Hope to one day buy from your metro centre store (and keep it next time) thank you to all staff who helped.

Took a diamond necklace back in due to the chain just randomly snapping. The staff in the shop were fantastic in helping me out straight away and agreeing that the chain had snapped in a place it shouldn?t have. So we sent it away only to be getting charged for a new chain saying it was pulled with force to break. So not only do I now need to pay for a chain that wasn?t caused by something of my doing but they have basically called my a lair by saying I?ve snapped it so they won?t replace it under warranty?

I'm contemplating another Navitimer or Super Ocean Heritage but always enjoy browsing other watches. The guy was knowledgeable, entertaining and informative and the store has a good range of options available. No pressure from the staff and came away with a few things to muse over. Great service overall.

I collected my new Rolex date just today from Kieran and am delighted. From my first visit and him putting my name forward, up to and including collecting today, both Kieran and all the staff I have dealt with have been outstanding and couldn't have been more helpful. Awful service. Wedding Rings got delayed by 6 weeks, which is fine it happens and then with no update they get cancelled and no explanation or phone call. To top it off the cancellation was at 4:05pm conveniently 5 minutes after their service lines shut.It?s wedding rings. Surely a phone call to explain is not an unreasonable expectation.No one ever answers the customer service line and their web enquiries email takes 5 days to respond but never does.

First time using this branch. I found the whole experience very friendly and of a calm nature. The first visit was to choose the necklace which I did with Sophie. Then the second visit was to try the necklace on as bespoke. Waiting for our turn, we were offered a drink of choice. That was lovely. It was good to have Sophie once again as my assistant to see the necklace and close the exchange. This is the personal touch that makes it more appealing. We will definitely be using this branch of Goldsmith?s again.

I took my watch for a service to Goldsmiths Metro CentreIt was recommended a new face and hands to update the watch I gave the ok to go aheadSince then the watch keeps stopping I think now it?s 5 times the watch has been backNow it has cost me more expense to send it away from Goldsmith?sLast time I got the watch back at 10-30 and it stopped at 2-46amGoldsmiths state the watch is fine but it keeps stopping

After my first contact with Mick over organising a special gift for my belated 21st birthday and graduation present, his service and communication have been fantastic. His very friendly and welcoming approach made the whole buying experience an absolute pleasure. Once the special call came that my watch had arrived, I could not wait to collect the piece. Mick made the handover very special and comfortable, and being able to share it with my family is something I?ll remember for a lifetime. Now my journey has well and truly begun with Mick and Goldsmiths Metrocentre, I highly look forward to continuing our business in the future!
