We were given multiple different appointments to set-up a joint account but when attending Lloyds bank Houghton-Le-Spring said they didn't have time and to come back at a later date.The fifth time attending we had to wait in a queue due to Covid-19 but the women we were suppose to see was standing at the door but acted like she didn't see us, when getting in after fifteen minutes were were told it was too later and to book another appointment.I expressed my concern that this was the fifth time and I cannot keep taking time off work to attend appointments which they were going to flog off every time this is when the man who wipes down the ATM started getting mouthy even though he had no dealt with us prior and did not know the full story, this was very unprofessional for him to get involved.Raised a complaint via the Lloyds bank email address and almost six weeks later for a reply saying they aren't going to do anything about their staff.Set-up a joint account with Natwest online within 24 hours online without attending any appointments.If you live in the area go to the Peterlee branch were the staff know how do they jobs and take into consideration you needs and don't start arguments with customers when they do not know the situation.

I have always found all staff very helpful and polite, they helped me with my savings accounts and credit card, I have been a customer of Lloyds for over 30years and have always found staff friendly courteous and efficient, Well Done.

This branch' staff (houghton le spring) need some serious training. They are very un-helpful and have not got a clue about what they are going on about. They have clearly worked for lloyds all their lives with no education or training (that is evident anyway). They were very arrogant to say the least. They are very unhelpful and judgemental people that obviously are only suited to working behind a till or checkout - not one of them could advise on a suitable savings account or credit card based on my circumstances. I have since been to barclays plc who were wounderful.
