Fantastic selection. Great parking. Good selection of alcohol. I love the M&S special port at Christmas. All round good shop for party foods etc.

The Cappuccino is lukewarm at best and took ages to prepare ...one person on coffee station....toasted teacake must have been given two seconds on the toaster and isn't even warm enough to melt the butter...I walked away last week and went to Costa ...queued for coffee for 15 mins and still hadn't a coffee .......! Won't be visiting again soon

if you want the best you shop M&S it?s as simple as that.
yes you pay a little more but this reflects on the quality ingredients and overall food sold here.

I visited Marks and spencers cafe team valley gateshead Short staffed, waited in a queue, the female assistant, who served me, was rude and it was obvious that the assistant was flustered, I truly miss the friendly well presented staff that used to work in the cafe, I won't be returning , staff situation needs attention ,

Popped into Marks and Sparks to buy tea and walked out with a new duvet cover. The M&S at the Metrocentre is sizable but possibly not as big as the one in Newcastle.

Eggs Benedict arrived in 3 minutes. That should of been the warning. Eggs hard boiled which was bad enough but the worst thing was all of the breakfast was just say off cold. Uneatable. I asked for this to be changed but second was not much better. Left most of the second breakfast. I dont trust the hygiene in M and S cafe now as serving hot food hot is a basic requirement. Coffee was ok but I won't be returning. Plenty of other places to go for breakfast.

Service slow today and tables not being cleared. Needs more staff. Best try avoiding lunch time. We had to wait 25min for our toasted sandwich.
