I can?t recommend the team at Evan?s Cycles Metrocentre/Gateshead enough.
As a wheelchair user with a bad habit of taking her chair places mountain bikes wouldn?t dare (think less ?Sunday stroll? and more Jackass: wheelchair edition), I?ve brought my all-terrain wheels to these guys a few times now. And every single time, they?ve been absolute legends. They?re a genuinely lovely bunch of people with a friendly, can-do attitude who just want to help.
Huge thanks especially to Dan, who was totally committed to getting it right, researching, finding and fitting the perfect setup?no easy job. Thanks to him, I?m now fully kitted out to tackle the great outdoors again, and don?t have to worry about punctures.
More importantly, I?m back to running over people?s toes again- but with improved grip that I never had before. ?
If it?s got wheels, these are the folks you want on your side. Truly grateful for everything they?ve done. Thanks again

Bike went in for first service told the shop about about the chain and the draliers said they would fix problem, well they didn't very poor bike is now up for sale intend buying a new one from another dealer but it definitely won't be evans

Ordered a bike for my son and spent 2 weeks trying to track it down after waiting 2 week for it to arrive. 4 weeks in total to not recieve my order . Didn't actually manage at any point to make contact with a real person. The online chat is a bot and when you email it take 5 days to get a reply. Ended up opening a case with the PayPal fraud team to get a refund. Horrendous service and I will never order again from evans. I'd give no stars if I could

Visited the Metro Centre shop today to collect my new bike. I can?t speak highly enough about Ryan who is from the Leeds shop. He was not only knowledgeable and helpful but also made it fun. Nothing was too much trouble and fantastic customer service. Highly recommended

Absolutely horrendous experience not at the gateshead shop but evens,ordered my bike through the ride to work scheme stock level low but two in stock, so ordered the bike it took a week to get back to me two say its not in stock ,absolutely shocking in this world it took a week to get back to me why they don't care.

Not really one for doing reviews but recently booked my bike into Evans Gateshead as I was having issues with my hydraulic brakes. The day before I took it in a had a very impactive crash so when I dropped it in I mentioned this to the mechanic, who I believe is also the manager.
I was expecting quite a big bill for the work to the brakes as I thought they would at least need bleeding but possibly all the seals replaced (very expensive!) when I collected the bike the mechanic talked me through the work he'd done informing me he had checked and set up the brakes and there was no need to bleed them or carry out any expensive work. Furthermore he'd found the gear hanger had been bent in the collision and he'd straightened it and indexed the gears. He'd also found the preload on the crankset needed adjusted. The cost of all this work was unbelievably reasonable and most placed would have had your eyes out. I've since been away on the bike for a couple of days and ridden 100 to 120 miles on a variaty of surfaces and the bike was flawless. The gears were crisp, the brakes faultles and the crankset felt tight like the day I purchased the bike probably 8 years ago. I wouldn't hesitate in using Evans again and would recommend it to anyone in need of bike mechanical services.

Thank you for helping me out today, having recieved my bike, through the cycle to work scheme, I knew I'd need a few additional items, haveing been given lots of advice by friends, I wandered into Evans, to buy the items I needed....and immediately felt a bit overwhelmed!
The store assistant was really helpful, without being pushy, helping me to choose a helmet and advising, not only on things I needed, but also thing I actually didn't qnd also things that could wait till later.
Thank you I will be back later to buy the rest of my bike stuff!

Wanted a smart trainer for a birthday present, I only knew the basics. The 2 Gents in there this evening were super helpful and explained everything to get on Zwift. They knew the answers to all my questions, great product knowledge and brilliant customer service, thank you!
