I visited the Aldi in Newcastle. It had everything I needed, the store was tidy and well organized. It reminded me a bit of the Aldi stores in Germany. Overall it was fine, nothing special, so I?m giving it 4 stars.

Won?t return to this aldi again. Some of the staff have terrible attitudes. The guy at the self service has a problem. I had the small trolley with less than 25 items and he was blocking my way while repeatedly saying you can?t -go through with a trolley, go to checkout (only 2 open and full). He was like a crazy dictator barking orders and physically blocked my trolley and my way. It was noted that a Lady with a similar trolley of shopping was already using the service!?! Some of the female staff shout at you like fish wives to use the self service most of the time? make your minds up! The staff stocking shelves can be ignorant too, why restock (when stock is still on the shelves) at peak times and glare at customers blocking the way of your massive trolleys? Their veg never keeps well, the garlic is dry as sticks, the centre isles are like a messy jumble sale. Overall this in my opinion is the worst Aldi. Management needs to have a word with the self service guy, he is either on a power trip or is just clueless. Terrible service overall on many separate occasions, doing what i should have ages ago? avoiding this store.

Use this Aldi a lot but the guy looking after self checkouts tonight isn't the normal great service, would consider using Lidl in swalwell instead. Can't bring a trolly through, never heard such rubbish in my life, been through with full trolley before, told me to go wait at an unopened till, why would I do that from the front of a queue I just stood in
9 items in my trolley. Guy tutted at me when I said no to standing to wait.
I have to add, there were 2 people with trolleys already in the self checkouts.

Not the biggest but ok for weekly shop good customer service however usually only 1 person on a till at a time but plenty of self service tills if you prefer
