We arrived late so the ace wasn't busy hence 4 for atmosphere.Our fault not theirs .Very enjoyable food , grateful service .

A party of us booked the Christmas lunch and this was superb. The food was well presented, very good quality and plentiful. Staff were pleasant and helpful. An excellent time was had by all.

Popped in for a quick drink and the service was fast and friendly and can't complain with the price of drinks.
The Red Kite as of 6th April 2022 is now part of a new family of Pubs which includes the The Travellers Rest in Witton Gilbert & Bishops Lodge in Bishop Auckland.
The pub is open Monday to Sunday 11am to 11pm with food served Monday to Saturday 12pm to 8:30pm & Sunday 12pm to 7pm.
Dine from our main menu & join us every Sunday for Sunday Lunch with special available throughout the week.
Outside the pub there is a large car park area, planting and garden furniture to entice walkers on the Derwent Walk and dogs are very welcome.
