This pub used to be vibrant with delicious food on a lovely setting. Unfortunately with a change ownership it is now feeling run down, dirty with poor quality food. Weeds growing through on the paved area outside. Rusty feature bike outside with dead flowers and weeds. The large black parasol in the front area absolutely dirty and disgusting. The Sunday roast was disgusting, wet soggy Yorkshire pudding, overcooked rubbery meat, over boiled greens. The gravy and carrots were ok.
It looks like the local clientele and visitors were voting with their feet. On a Sunday early evening just 2 tables occupied with drinks and no food.
One too miss until it changes ownership.

During our recent lunch at the Four Horseshoes with my mother and fiancé, we were thoroughly impressed by the exquisite food and the lovely ambience of the restaurant. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing quality ingredients and skillful presentation. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, making it an ideal setting for our meal. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience.

The garlic bread was disgusting and the chips are fried in very dirty old oil, which is not just unhealthy but leaves a horrible aftertaste in your mouth. Please change the oil daily and do not use the same oil for a whole week.
The restaurant is full of flies and the service is very slow.
Considering there is a minimum wage in the UK, they still have the audacity to add on a 12% ?service charge? - why? It?s the employers responsibility to pay staff a reasonable wage and you should not try to exploit and financially abuse customers to do this for you, which indirectly boosts the profit margins of greedy managers.
I do not recommend this awful restaurant.

Nice spot and friendly staff. Food took forever and they did knock some money off to apologise. Not that impressed with the food. Would try again though as the staff were great esp the chap who appeared to be the manager.

It was not the most enjoyable experience we have had. The food was satisfactory, but the restaurant became quite crowded, and we felt somewhat neglected. Perhaps they were simply experiencing a challenging day.

Used to be one of my favourite pubs but sadly going downhill. Waited 10 minutes to be served on Thursday lunchtime (just wanted a pint of beer) until they said take a seat and we?ll serve you in due course. I said I?ll go somewhere else.

This place is a absolute gem and we will definitely be back. Very attentive service without being over bearing. Food was delicious, definitely recommend the banoffee brownie. Location was great, plenty of seating outside, even a place to hitch up your horse and have a drink. Very dog friendly. Clearly the hub of the village, looking forward to returning.

A good little pub with a diverse menu.
The service was good, attentive and quick. The menu had lots of options. Food was good but not amazing, that?s why 4 not 5 stars. It was v pricey for the quality.
Dogs allowed in bar area.

Below average Sunday roast sadly - potatoes not crispy at all, meat poorly done, vegetables not fresh tasting. Wish I had gone somewhere else!

Fantastic friendly service, lovely food and a great atmosphere.
Unbelievably it was apparently only our waitresses second shift. Thankyou Emily you did a fantastic job
That was my previous experience but sadly going on my last experience I can only give 3 stars due to the ignorant / argumentative chef.
I asked for blue cheese sauce with my steak but was given something that didn't remotely taste of cheese. When I complained to the waitress the chef came out and tried to tell me that it was blue cheese sauce but due to the cost they cam only add two small blocks. I advised him to put the price up or take it off the menu.

Nice pub, lovely food. Only feedback I?d give is we?re were pretty much ushered out. It?s not a problem if that?s end of shift but the waitress hadn?t given us desert menus and so we missed out. They could have guided us a little more if there was a timing issue.
