“I had the best costumer service in my life from lovely Nora who was so kind and helpful when I returned a faulty product. She offered to order a replacement and when the delivery was going to be a few days, she tracked down an alternative at a nearby store. She never made me feel rushed or that it was an inconvenience. I was really taken back by her generosity of service. A skill that seems far and few between nowadays. And she looked me in the eye when she spoke to me. It was wonderful.”

I was present during this incident last week and witnessed everything firsthand while standing in line behind the family. Contrary to Mr. Ahmed’s misleading claims, the situation was entirely of his own making. He attempted to return a heavily used item (a flask that appeared weeks old) and became argumentative when rightly refused. Meanwhile, his wife failed to supervise their child, resulting in the child’s fall—a clear case of neglectful parenting. Shockingly, Mr. Ahmed showed more concern over a £7 refund than his own child’s wellbeing.
The manager acted with exceptional professionalism and kindness, immediately checking on the child and de-escalating the situation. There was no racism whatsoever—only Mr. Ahmed’s attempts to gaslight and deflect blame. His narcissistic tendency to play the victim while ignoring his family’s own irresponsible behavior is appalling. Social services should indeed review this neglectful incident, CCTV footage of the incident would be in favour of TK Maxx in court.
TK Maxx staff handled the matter perfectly. I urge others to disregard Mr. Ahmed’s dishonest review, which grossly distorts the truth. The manager served me afterwards as they left and I congratulated her caring, professional handling of the situation personally.”
