I?ve been a loyal customer of Côte for years, but unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined, turning what was once a great experience into a disappointment.
The famous Steak Frites?described as a 5oz minute steak topped with garlic butter, served with frites and a herb garnish?used to come with a beautiful little salad as the garnish. Now, it has been downgraded to nothing more than a handful of parsley. To make matters worse, even that was forgotten, and I had to request it separately.
On top of that, we had an incredibly awkward encounter with our waiter. While he was generally friendly and helpful, his attitude changed when we asked for a salt shaker. Instead of simply assisting us, he insisted it was already on the table. "It's there! Where is it? It was right there!"?as if we had somehow hidden or taken it. It was ridiculous and made us feel uncomfortable, as if we were being accused of something absurd. I genuinely wish they had checked the cameras to see how unprofessional his behavior was.
To make matters worse, I had taken friends visiting from abroad, hoping to give them a good dining experience. Needless to say, I won?t be returning.

Went here for lunch. Appalling service. Awkward staff who didn't really look like they were enjoying their job. Food was average too. Won't be going back.

Love a Cote, cannot fault for a chain and they didn't disappoint. Been working through the menu as too much is nice ??

All round it was good. Seared scallops I definitely recommend. The confit of pork belly was a little dry but still quite good. No beer on tap but you can buy 1664 in 660ml bottle.
Shout out to my server Safal for being super friendly. We chatted about his shift ending soon and enjoying the sun.

Cote is a place we've been to a few times around the country. I have to say this place is by far the worst. From placing the order to the food arriving it was 50 mins!!!!! We had to ask where the food was, surprise surprise literally 30 seconds later the food arrives. There was no apology and no reasons why it was late in the first place. We could see that we were not there only customers where the food was late. Anyway there are other Cote in Surrey so we'll be going there and not to Woking.
The food was good, hence 5 stars just the food was very late.

We went to have breakfast the lady at the entrance told us that we should have made a reservation and that it is full while there were too many empty tables and we left. I went to the store's page to see if it was really full and while the time was 12:15 I normally made a reservation for 12:30. We went back and told them we came in and made a reservation and she says ok I have a table for you but at 1:30 you have to be gone. Unacceptable service. We finally left because breakfast was served until 11:30.

After being seated for over 15 mins with no offer of drinks or food eventually had to go to the bar to ask for service. When the food came Luke warm and scrambled egg over done.
There are no explanations as to why service was so bad which would have allowed us to understand more.
Sadly another chain that shows how unimportant service and product quality is.
Would not return.

We came here for lunch and were disappointed that our steaks arrived cold and the chips and green beans were underdone. The two servers were very polite and helpful, but the problem occurred because there were two people from Head Office sitting at a table with laptops and the Chef tasting every dish on the menu in turn. It was obtrusive and off putting.
If the Chef had been allowed to do his job in the kitchen during this busy lunchtime service, perhaps we and the other customers wouldn?t have had to wait so long for our food and have it arrive cold.
I would suggest that if Head Office staff require to take over a table and the Chef?s time, they could do it at a less busy time in the working day. Rather than force hard working service staff to compensate for the added stress they are putting on an understaffed kitchen.

Food was good (when it did eventually arrive), service was terrible. It took long and the waiters were rude and condescending. We had 3 different people waiting on our table and it was still poor service, only one of them was friendly and provided good service.
