Booked Sunday Roast for 4, which we were told on arrival, had not been available for a few weeks and was not going to be available until possibly next week. The restaurant was totally empty, which made the atmosphere awkward and we soon realised why this might be the case. The poor waitress carried a list of non available items and had to apologise several times for not being able to provide what we would have liked from your menu. The coffee machine was also broken and the card machine defect. The service we received by Sue was excellent and so were the dishes we had ordered instead, however relying on the front of house to apologise and make up for bad organisation of a restaurant does not make happy customers or on the long run, happy servers!

Firstly the service given the circumstances was good. They had 1 person on fron what I could tell. The poor person was running round like a blue a*** fly. The restaurant was dead when we got in. This was a Sunday early afternoon and the place should be packed. We have a beefeater near where I live and on Sundays they are queuing out the door. The next thing was the menu. The list of unavailable things was not far off the main menu. Starters no roasts on a sunday! In fact this had been the same some months back. Next the staple of beefeater starters, no prawn cocktail. Then came a list of things. No veg and prawn skewers as they had no king prawns. No chilli rice. Then the best of all. No apple pie. These were the only missing things I could remember. Utter farce to be honest. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but no again. Head office you need to take charge of the situation.

The rich, smoky flavors were a delight to the palate. The tender, perfectly cooked meat showcased their culinary expertise. Combined with their welcoming atmosphere and friendly service, it was a memorable dining experience I can't wait to revisit.

Unfortunately, this venue has gone downhill. I think a lack of central investment by whoever owns Beefeater than the staff working there. They tried their best with what they had to offer, the food was hot and presented well. But the quality was poor, the size for the classic burger was small, kids' size. The wait was rather long, staffing has always been an issue for some years. One lone member of staff taking orders for the lunchtime rush highlights the issues. Its possible to do this and make use of self-ordering from your table using an app? Trying to have her deal with complaints and service was hard. I don't blame the people working there wholeheartedlyWould not go again unless I was forced.Last visit was last summer which time the whole kitchen was closed.Needs a top down relaunch and reinvestment, could be a gold mine especially with the captive Hotel audience.

Set in a nice leafy, mainly residential area alongside the Basingstoke Canal. Hotel part was fine and typical Premier Inn. Myself and a colleague were originally booked in for 4 weeks but ask our company to move us after 2 weeks as the beefeater had some issues. Staffing issues resulted in evening meals not being available on our meal deal over 4 nights, so we had to eat out at a local pub. The restaurant was not clean, dust accumulation on windows sills, cobwebs hanging from the internal open wood beams over food area and dining tables, even dead insects on the internal window sills. We changed to premier inn, A3, Guildford, which is much better.

Went to this place for breakfast buffet. As per advertised they say they do buffet. But actually it?s not buffet it?s a table service. It was unlimited breakfast but you have to order every thing through waiter. The other issue is the staff is very unfriendly. It looks like they all been forced to work there.. they all looked as if they haven?t slept last night.. also very un hygienic as staff using their hands to put bread and croissants on the serving tray. They were not wearing any gloves.. one staff had such a long nails and she was pulling the sticky croissant from the tray to the basket.. I can easily see her nails going inside the chocolate croissants..when placing the order with the waiter lots of items were not even available. No boiled eggs, no mushrooms, no porridge, no oat milk. In fruit section only grape fruit was available no other fruit was present. Both orange and apple juice were at room temperature. When ask for ice they said not available..this is the worst place I have ever been for any breakfast.. never ever going there again.. plenty of other nice breakfast places around..

I was regular customer in the Woking Beefeater, but I will never be going back again.Me and my friends went there to have a couple of drinks and a little chit-chat the other day. The bartender, was absolutely rude. He made a fun of my friend's accent, when she was asking about snacks. He said they don't have snakes! just only snacks and he was going on and on about it for few minutes. I felt absolutely uncomfortable. He might have found this funny, but we didn't. I understand jokes, but he was insulting her.Doesn't matter if she lives in UK or she was on a holiday in the UK, what a bad impression and how rude. For me as customer, this was absolutely unacceptable behaviour. Never going back again.

Went here for breakfast. The member of staff was a bit rude as never booked online. The restaurant itself didn't have that many people in, tables had dirty dishes on. Took 1hr+ to get full English. Food was alright. Continental self serve food was limited and never had all the options as said in the menu.Wouldn't recommend going here

Enjoy a lovely beverage by the river if the suns out.I would recommend booking in advance if possible, the hotel opposite it often attracts a number of guests. We have once been turned down because of this.Otherwise a lovely place to have dinner, from our last experience the prices where decent.Eating area is upstairs and I don?t remember seeing an elevator incase you needed one.

6 adults and 2 grandchildren came here for a meal before seeing Ricky Gervais and we took the 2 grandchildren girls back to Croydon. Jamie our waiter was excellent but we found the meals were overcooked apart from the girls. Our daughter in law was made to wait for a replacement steak dinner. Our table was booked for 5.0pm so plenty of time for the 4 adults to attend the 7.30pm performance. However by the time the replacement dinner was brought to the table it left 15 minutes to get to the theatre. The friend who recommended the venue was highly embarrassed for the evening. The bill was amended but still need to addres the problems.Jamie couldn't apologise more but obviously not his fault.

Great location and a wonderful atmosphere. Food good but service a bit slow - due to there not being enough staff more than the staff being slow in providing the service..

Food was lovely steak cooked exactly as ordered. Service great friendly staff. Wrong pudding delivered but promptly replaced. Will visit again. Do wonder how they would cope height of season so many covers with such a small kitchenParking: I would think in height of summer would not be adequate as so many tables outside
