“After a long session at the dentist during the period of Covid and due to it,  it was necessary to insert a metal frame in the mouth to keep it open as a rubber sheet with a small hole had to be  pinned to the frame in order to keep it in place.Once the frame was removed after 20 minutes or so, I found that my  jaw area was in great discomfort which lead to a dislocated jaw two days later while biting on food.Pain and clicking of the jaw then followed, going all the way to the temples and sometimes down the neck.Ears also felt blocked.This prompted me to visit an orthodontist who had nothing but excuses to protect the dentist as she never acknowledged the true problem as being the mouth having been forced open for too long while work was carried out on a molar tooth.A gum shield was prescribed but this did not help.Therefore, a referral to a hospital specialist followed where special exercises were recommended.Again this offered no relief by which time I had been suffering for 10 months.I then found Doreen via a Google search and after my 1st treatment, I felt lighter.My pain went after the 3rd treatment and most of the clicking stopped.A few more visits followed where great results were achieved.Also, on my first visit to Doreen, I was shown to have limited mouth opening where inserting 2 fingers between the teeth was not comfortable and 3 was not possible.This is something not mentioned by the two people I had previously seen.Doreen’s TMJ treatment is very gentle but effective and I am still having the occasional visit.”
