I could not be happier with the service that I had for my son at Bayfields. We had to get an eye test in quickly due to his sight being an issue for driving. We literally got an appointment the next day. They explained everything in detail at the appointment as well as giving us a number of solutions. So I felt they were looking at the issue holistically not just glasses as a resolution. The glasses themselves were ready in a number of days which was amazing. The staff there were so friendly and helpful and my son and I came away feeling they had resolved all our issues but also did it such a professional and friendly manner we could literally not fault the service in any way. Much appreciated

The team here are absolutely lovely and excellent opticians, BUT the prices are now too high so unfortunately I will not be back. Replacement varifocal lenses were quoted at £500 when the same can be purchased for £300 (with a 2 for 1 deal for lens only replacement service) at a nearby chain with the same care model. Having to wear glasses is expensive so it is great to see new services disrupting the model arriving all the time - see also Popspecs.

I am not someone who tends to do reviews but this company really deserves all the praise they get!!I was a new customer and was really impressed with the level of expertise shown from the amazing eye test and scan to the choosing and fitting of a frame.Everthing was explained in detail (Thank you Martina!) which helped in choosing the right frame and lenses.As someone has said in a previous review you will pay a little more but it is well worth it!..Give them a try!! 5*****

Such a refreshing change to the usual high street larger chain optician networks. You may pay a little more at Bayfields but it is so worth it.From my first sight test through to my follow up appointment, post fitting I was listened too and not rushed.Martina helped me select the right glasses for me, she took the time to understand the issues that I had previously experienced with other opticians and guided me in choosing my new glasses. Rather than accepting my first, fashion choice she guided me to what would be the most comfortable fit whilst still looking so good.This is the first time ever that I have a pair of glasses that are so comfortable to wear that I actually forget that I am wearing them. Bravo!!

This place has just been a comedy of errors!I wanted to try a specific pair of frames that they tried to get from another store and was given the wrong time scales on delivery.Eventually I choose a frame and spent a lot of money on them.I recommend a friend and it took months to get my reward after a lot of chasing.Have been in a number of times to get my frames adjusted and they kept getting it wrong they were always too tight and pinching on one side? mainly because they were only adjusting one side. At one point I was told nobody?s face is perfect. Why not just adjust the glasses to the customers needs? Instead of unnecessary comments. I was also told that they may need to file the front of the one of the frame arms so it could pivot more but this may invalidate my warranty. :(I went in again and eventually a different staff member adjusted them to be symmetrical on both sides.The last straw was when we went in and there were no other customers in the store. The young receptionist didn't greet or even acknowledge us. Instead she just turned her back on us and went in to call her colleagues. This is just basic customer service fundamentals.I have subsequently got my frames adjusted at specsavers as they were pinching on both sides. They were shocked that they were so tight and pushing in skull area behind the ears.There are other alternative options in Woking providing great customer service and care. Think twice about going to this place.
