“I have yet to go inside but really intending to soon. I work in Byfleet and the rail strikes have been mental for me. Luckily I enjoy finding awkard ways of getting places. The last rail strike meant I was skint and decided instead of paying for an uber, I'd try to get home in central london via bus/tube and walking.Stupidly, I saw the quickest route to my first bus, at 10pm, was the canal navigation path. It had no lights and it was pitch black aside my from phone light. Ducks were giving me the ocassional jumps scares and ice just popped up out of nowhere. Was like this for about 30 minutes, and I wasn't sure if I was even going the right way, but then the trees to my right opened up and, across the fields, I saw the lit up spire of St James. Really gave me the boost I needed to keep at it and I soon made it to my bus having used the spire as my lighthouse.So thank you for lighting up your spire the way you have <3”
