As a resident of Walton for over 15 years, I have witnessed the evolution of the Heart shopping centre, and it's evident that significant changes are urgently needed to restore its former glory. From parking woes to the dwindling array of shops, here's why a revamp is long overdue.First and foremost, the state of the car park leaves much to be desired. The lack of paint maintenance, confusing directional arrows, and an outdated coin system for entry and exit contribute to a frustrating experience for shoppers. It's time for modernization to improve functionality and ease of use. The state of areas like toilets, repetitive faulty elevators, escalators and lack of general cleanliness.Secondly, the exorbitant rent fees levied on retailers have resulted in numerous vacant spaces. This trend has led to the closure of many shops, leaving a void filled primarily by fast food outlets and charity shops, lacking community appeal. To restore the Heart shopping centre's prestige, a diverse mix of upscale shops akin to those in Weybridge and Esher is necessary.Lowering the rent of units to make them more affordable for businesses is imperative. Greedy landlords prioritizing profit over the vibrancy of the centre have contributed to its decline. Negotiations should be conducted to prevent further closures and attract a diverse range of tenants. Additionally, utilizing the middle corridor for small stands, as done in years past, could inject vitality into the space.Desirable additions to the shopping centre's lineup could include popular brands like YoGo, Kiko, Gails, Hand and Spears, Hotel Chocolat, Laser clinic ( or similar), Toy-store, Giggling Squid, Waitrose, Itsu, Zara, Lush, Lola's cupcakes, TK-Maxx, and H&M, Olivias or any other NEW furniturestore,. Furthermore, enhancing community entertainment options is essential. Currently, Capadoccia and Buen Asado are among the few establishments providing a decent dining and nightlife experience.Lack of security has led to vandalism becoming a major issue accross the shopping center. Large groups of kids disrespecting the public, driving bikes indoors risking people safety, sometimes with electric scooters. Disrespecting security members of the staff which unfortunalty they are not enough of them, considering this issue, which has been worsening over the time.In conclusion, the Heart shopping centre in Walton is in dire need of rejuvenation. By addressing parking issues, reevaluating rent structures, security issues, proper maintenance and curating a more appealing tenant mix, it can once again reclaim its status as a premier destination.

Always clean and tidy.Worked there for a couple of years. Security were nice people and the shops have OK verity. Could do with a Greggs I can't lie but so could any high-street centre. Also the Christmas decorations look nice but that's only for a few months of the year so its not something that I can judge it on.

Sadly seeing a huge decline in stores in the centre. Many of the empty stores being taken over by a very overpriced charity.

Rubbish.

It's a shame that so many of the shops are empty creating a cold atmosphere, it feels like a short cut to the high street.

Not much of a shopping centre

I walked in, then walked out. The only reason I'm giving this review is because Google keeps sticking it back in despite the number of rimes I've dismissed this....

Truely disappointed in gymfinity Walton.. I brought my nanny child along to a taster session here. There was absolutely no structure to the baby class, the girl running the group was just sat on her behind most the session and hardly interacted with any of the babies trialing the session. As a nanny that?s been to a few gym groups this was my least favourite and I won?t recommend them they need to start to bring some kind of structure to their classesAlso my nanny child got bored because she started crying, she has more fun with me at home!
